Charming house, beautiful setting, just 2 miles from Heritage Town of Kenmare, County Kerry. Two Bedrooms each with a balcony to enjoy the views of Kenmare Bay and Macgillicudy's Reeks. Fully equiped kitchen, gas stove and broiler with oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer and dryer. The Sitting room has on open fire, TV with Sky satellite, library, tapes and cd's for media player, recliner and sleeper couch. Two local golf courses, riding stables, water sports center and a town full of restaurants and pubs, specialty shops and open market days will make your holiday a memorable one. A perfect location to tour Ring of Kerry, Beara and West Cork with opportunities for garden strolls and mountain walks in a country setting.

Testimonials: Your cottage was 'just like home'. All of us felt that the layout and spacious rooms made our stay relaxing and comfy. The furnishings and appliances were just right for a one-week stay for four people - and or course, the view was great. We had some wet weather, but kept our trips short on those days and enjoyed our time in your cottage. Besides exploring Kenmare we toured all three peninsulas (Beara, Kerry, and Dingle) - our favourite was Beara. We would readily recommend your place to anyone who might ge interested in staying in the Southwest Ireland. We had a great time there. Steve Banworth, Aiken, So. Carolina

Testimonials: Our second visit to your cottage was even better than the first. We are so comfortable there and love the local flavor. The changes in Kenmare were of special interest to our son and daughter. They enjoyed the night spots. We explored some new places and of course we shopped. One of the favorites was the drive to Glengariff and the Italian Gardens on Garinish Island. We went on to Bantry House and loved the Old Mansion and furnishings. The gardens and statues and views of Bantry Bay were lovely. That was one of our favorite days. We were there for the fair day in August and enjoyed the great variety of vendors. The horse and donkey trading was almost unbelievable. It was so special to see this age old tradition right before our eyes.

Highlight of Ireland - Exceptional Experience!

5 of 5
Submitted: October 4, 2012 Stayed: September 2012
I knew it would be a lovely setting from the pictures, but that it was SO well-equipped and truly a home away from home was unexpected! In addition to the fully equipped cottage with washer and dryer, appliances, laundry soap, all the bathroom fixings and a plethora of area books of interest, there were lovely touches like coffee and tea, and fresh milk and butter in the fridge. The hospitality shown to us by the caretakers, owner and surrounding townspeople truly made it feel as if we had finally arrived home. Such generous, helpful, warm and wonderful people, I actually found myself crying the last night we were there simply to be leaving it. The two balconies off the bedroom plus the lovely back porch overlooking Kenmare bay made it so warm and lovely for morning coffee or a glass of wine watching the sun go down over the amazing view. Cannot recommend this cottage highly enough! Private and secluded, a perfect place to return to after the many regional sights, so many we did not have time to view them all. I will be returning to this treasure in Ireland, no other way to go! Wish we had started out at Tuatha Murtagh. Next trip, a full two weeks! Also, an incredible value. Hmmm. Maybe I can stay for THREE?? :)
Owner's Response: I always enjoy hearing from those who stay in Tuatha Murtagh. It is part of the joy of having this "Little bit of Heaven" in my life. Thank You.
