Pinewood Shores cottage is the perfect place to enjoy the natural beauty of Spider Lake in comfort. The interior has been freshly painted, is tastefully decorated, and offers all amenities including; air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, crisp new linens for all beds and baths, and a great Foosball table for family fun. Large windows upstairs and downstairs frame beautiful year-round views of the lake. There is 60' of private sandy frontage and dock for excellent swimming. Enjoy a sunset BBQ on the upper deck after a day on the lake, wander down the unpaved road through the woods, or head into Traverse City (just 10 minutes away) for shopping, dining or sight seeing.

We were only there for a short time, but it was perfect! The house, the boat, the lake and all the other activities in the area make for a great vacation. Next year, we do a week!!!

Great location, setting

Location of the house was perfect for us-in a fairly secluded area on a beautiful lake yet only about 15 minutes by car from the heart of Traverse City. The views from the den and porch are magnificent. The house is clean and well maintained. The boat and kayak are great.
We would rent this house again.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Clean and beautiful cottage

This was the cleanest and most comfortable cottage I've rented. The beds and furniture were extremely comfortable and very modern. The views were amazing and the sandy beached lake was great. There was so much to do in the Traverse City area that one week is almost not enough.The only thing missing was a fire pit, but the TV with the theatre sound system made up for it.

Great Traverse City experience

We spent a week at Pinewood Shores this Summer, after having a bad experience at another cottage last Summer. It was the polar opposite of last year. The cottage is clean, nicely furnished, and well maintained. The views from most of the rooms are spectacular. The lake has a sandy bottom, and the water is crystal clear (although it was too cool during our stay to actually get in).

Pinewood Shores is close to everything that Traverse City has to offer. We especially enjoyed the shops downtown, the wineries, the casinos, and the live bands at the Holiday Inn in the afternoon.

The owners are very gracious, and they bend over backwards to make sure that their guests have a good experience. We hope to spend a lot more time at Pinewood Shores in the future.
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

wonderful home

We just spent a week at Pinewood Shores. Every day of our vacation was perfect. Your home is perfect - so clean and well cared for. The home was very well stocked with everything we needed for the week. The people in the area are some of the friendliest people we have ever met! The surroundings are great - you can lay by the lake all day, go fishing, kayayking, hiking or go sightseeing and return to the lake int the evening and enjoy the view. It was nice to be so close to so many attractions. Sleepy Bear Dunes was a great trip - with lunch at Arts Tavern in Glen Harbor and then shopping at Cherry Republic (best place to buy gifts to take home) then back home in time to order in pizza from Peegeo's!! Thank you again - we will be returning soon.
