This vacation will remain etched in your memory forever. The Baywatch Resort is top of the line as far as location, service, cleanliness and good old southern hospitality at its best. You can sit beach/poolside at the bar while your children drift around the lazy river just feet away!! We visited mid-April and there weren't any crowds, the weather was 70-82 degrees everyday, the ocean was 68 degrees!!! The hotel had coin operated laundry facilities that were spotless, an exercise room with all the newest machines, an outdoor snack bar, the lazy river, an outdoor heated pool, two outdoor heated jacuzzis, poolside music daily, and just a few steps down to the sandy beach.
The room was spacious, immaculate and waterfront with a very private balcony. We had all the comforts of home with a kitchen, which saved alot on fast food cost. The local Bi-Lo supermarket is right there and is the cleanest supermarket I have ever been in, in my life (New England stores need to take notes). The area is known for being a party town but I found it to be very family oriented. The southern hospitality that my children received at the Family Kingdom amusement park was unbelieveable. My daughter is disabled and everyone was so patient and kind to her, I couldn't thank them enough. She was treated like a princess for the night!!!
It was awesome for us Northerner's who left a chilly New England Spring. We came home tan and rested and BROKE!! There is so much to do and see in Myrtle Beach and the surrounding area that you can shop til you die!!!!!, visit an old fashioned carnival on the beach, or the new Hard Rock Park, two outlet malls, the nascar speedpark for kids, and a huge waterpark (in season). Right on the beach in front of the hotel were beach bike rentals and parasailing!!! Don't miss Barefoot Landing, just minutes from the hotel, a beautiful shopping village with something for everyone: a merry-go-round, boardwalks over the wildlife filled water, places to eat, tons of souveniers, unique gifts, don't forget your camera this place is gorgeous. And did I mention the SHOPPING!!!!!!
I want to book my next year's April vacation as soon as possible.......50 weeks and counting!!!!!! Myrtle Beach we will miss you!!!!! Thank you for the "Red Carpet Treatment" signed a very satisfied Baywatch Resort visitor.
