Wonderful 3 BR, 2 BA waterfront home on 3 ½ acre peninsula in Old Homosassa, with heated pool, canoes, bicycles, high-speed wireless Internet access, unlimited long distance calling. Incredible privacy, only a short bike ride to shops and restaurants in Homosassa, only a 5-10 minute drive to shopping and major supermarkets on Hwy 19. Private dock on shallow-water canal with access to Mason Creek, Homosassa River, and Gulf of Mexico. Gorgeous wide-open views from pool, of wetlands and wildlife area. Included for your use are two canoes w/ oars and life jackets, bicycles, gas grill. Modern ('92 built),completely furnished, central A/C, TV w/ digital cable, DVD, CD/stereo. Absolutely stocked with everything you need, all linens & towels, fully equipped kitchen. Numerous DVD movies, including family & children's titles. Portable crib, high chair, and stroller for your use. Separate laundry room w/ washer and dryer. BOATERS: See further info below regarding boat access.

Info for Boaters: The house has a floating dock on a shallow-water canal. The canal leads to the Mason Creek, which leads to the Gulf. A boat ramp is at the end of the block, you must pass under a small bridge to get to the house by canal. Boaters are welcome but word of caution, the Mason Creek area can be tricky to navigate for novice boaters not familiar with the area. Access in the area is mostly limited to pontoon boats, sciffs, john boats. Access to the Homosassa River is possible but not well marked. Daily boat rentals (full day and half day)are available on the Homosassa River at reasonable rates, but most rental companies prefer that their boats not be taken back in the Mason Creek area where the house is. There are also charter boats and fishing guides for hire nearby. Of course, you are free to enjoy the two canoes at the house, which come fully equipped with paddles and life jackets.

I've rented a lot of houses and this was by far the best. Anything we needed was already there and right where you would think to look for it. House was lovely and secluded.
