Waikoloa is an up and coming destination, there are many big resorts nearby with both free and paid ventures as well as world class restaurants. Still, Waikoloa is close enough to drive to Hilo side or Kona side -- and we are just 30 minutes from the KOA (Kona International Airport). With a pool right next to our condo, a golf course right across the street, service station and about anything you need from local stores a block away -- this location is hard to beat.
Close to main highway and easy to get to and quick from Kona Airport (KOA). You can relax in a nice roomy condo that does not feel like a crackerjack box. Two porches (local name is lanai) and two balconies, the place has lots of windows -- very bright and airy. Steps to your car or the pool and you can even walk to golf!
Golf course right across the street. Resort just moments away with world class restaurants. You can swim with dolphins and go whale watching, even take a helicopter ride. Post Office, Service Station, near by.
A Beach (Anaehoomalu Bay) is a short 8 mile drive down the hill.
Hapuna Beach, often called the best beach in the world, is a short twelve mile drive down the hill. Puako Bay has snorkeling and scuba diving. Kohala Diver's Shop has snorkel gear and kayak rentals.
Restaurants in the area include Blue Dragon with live music and Cafe Pesto.
Towns of Hawi, Kapaa and Honokaa, the cliffs and valleys of Pololu and Waipo are easy drives.
