Deluxe lake-front cottage with majestic timber and knotty pine construction. Main cottage has a log cabin appearance plus there is a guest cottage alongside and a boat house. There is a huge fireplace, electric heat, 200 foot beach, 1 acre lawn, peaceful location, view of sunrise and moon over beautiful Grand Traverse bay.There is a Charcoal and propane grill on a natural stone patio with 2 picnic tables shaded by a huge virgin white pine that towers high into the sky. Cottage includes fishing boats, old style bikes, water toys, plenty of lawn and lounge chairs, large dock and party deck on the beach.There is Sand on the beach for kids ....you must walk to the end of the dock to reach the water for swimming. Good area for boating, swimming, water skiing, rock hunting, fishing, windsurfing and easy access to Lake Michigan waters for deep sea fishing for lake trout and salmon. Book now to get prime weeks.

Friendly casino located just 6 miles from Northport for fine dining and your choice of gaming. Many scenic spots, such as sleeping bear sand dunes, and fall colors. Fruits to pick: Morel mushrooms, cherries, peaches, apples, black berries, raspberries, and more....

Cottage Details: Renters must bring their own linens, towels and leave the cottage and area clean for the next renter. There is sand on the beach for children, but you must walk to the end of the dock to reach the water. A security deposit is required. The kitchen is completely furnished with double oven stove ,pots and pans, sugar and spices ,but no dishwasher.For 2010 we have 6 bedrooms and a clothes washer and dryer and a SPECIAL OPTION : add $ if you want sheets ,pillow cases and towels furnished........renter makes their beds and does laundry.

If you want a quiet, relaxing vacation on the lake with many things to do close by, then this is it. The cabin was very clean and exactly as stated in the description. Joe was there to meet us when we checked in and gave us a nice tour of all the property. When we had a small problem with the one cabin, it was fixed by the next day. The beach was freshly stocked with new sand and the kids loved it. There are plenty of shade trees, even shading the beach area by afternoon. Quiet, shallow waters were perfect for kayaking. Sunrise off the dock in the morning and a five minute drive to Peterson's Park for beautiful sunsets on Lake Michigan. We will definitely return.
Owner's Response: Tavi & Anita had a very friendly family reunion at our very special summer home, and were very responsible renters ,which we appreciate and we will be happy to invite them back.We have preserved the authentic hand built timber construction,antique furniture,and antique items that were at this place for years for familes to enjoy along with relaxing at the beach and see the sun and full moon rise over Grand Travese Bay.There is no other place exactly like this !!!

Our vacation here was great! The location was beautiful! The cottage was perfect for a larger group of people. Great for families with kids.
