Phoenix Nest, our romantic and spectacular oceanfront vacation home, is nestled on two glorious acres of forest right on the ocean. The 2500 square foot, newly remodeled home is bright and airy and includes a 44-foot living room with windows throughout overlooking the ocean. The two master bedroom suites also have unsurpassed, sweeping views of the ocean. The house has great privacy. You can hear the waves crash and see the osprey and gulls fly by as the low tide unveils the rocks and sandy beach. Watch gorgeous sunsets from the deck or hot tub. You will see sea lions surfing or resting on the rocks on the Havens Neck peninsula. We often see gray and humpback whales and recently blue whales spouting and occasionally breaching out of the ocean. The bluff is like a garden, covered with plants and natural wildflowers. Known as the 'banana belt,' nearby rivers provide a more fog-free and temperate climate than other coastal areas. Please No Children, Pets Or Smoking Allowed

Unparalleled Beauty: Dear Pat, We were greeted by deer and the gentle barking 'hellos' of the sea lions. The house is so comfortable--more space than we imagined and the light so wonderful.. The view rates in our top three--following the Grand Canyon, Positano, Italy and tied with Villa Cinciano in Tuscany. As we say farewell to the deer and sea lions, we'll promise to return and will always remember the beauty by day and the peaceful blanket of the Milky Way by night. An awesome home!

We took a "girls trip" to California and could not have found a more relaxing or beautiful view as Phoenix Nest provided. The home was clean and well-equipped. The views from every point in the house were breath-taking. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the porch watching the sunsets, seals, osprey, and of course the beautiful ocean. We also enjoyed discovering different beaches in the area, including the private access beach the Phoenix Nest belongs to. We enjoyed the peaceful location but did take a few daytrips to Mendocina, Fort Bragg, etc.and also enjoyed the friendliness of the people in Gualala. We also enjoyed walking on the street and seeing the deer

Pat was very friendly, helpful, and very willing to answer all of our questions..a perfect hostess. We all agreed that we would be blessed to have the opportunity to return to this beatiful home and its spectacular views!

We had the most wonderful time at Phoenix Nest! The location is unbeatable, the house so beautifully renovated and spotlessly clean, equipped with everything one needs and hopes for, and the view from the deck is gorgeous at any time of day. Pat, thank you for being so helpful and considerate! This was our second stay and we wish we could just turn around and go right back to this gem on the Pacific!

The Best of the West!!!

My husband and I have been renting different homes in Gualala for the last 30 years.Phoenix's Nest is by far the most wonderful home,setting,location of a peaceful retreat that we have experienced!The nearby hikes were an added bonus.Good restaurants in the small towns within driving distance provide an option for dining if one can pull themselves away from the fantastic view to leave the house.!!!!!!!!!

Phoenix Nest, A wonderful woodland retreat.

We had a wonderful week at Phoenix Nest, the sun came out every day, tempratures touching 70 degrees every day with a lovely onshore breeze, perfect.
We were welcomed with a bottle of champers, courtesy of Pat the owner.
Phoenix nest was so lovely and to wake up to that view, across the bay and see the sealions every morning before putting a foot on the floor, was just amazing.
I Played golf twice at Sea Ranch, a lovely course with more views over the sea, only 15 minutes away in the car, ideal!
We had our first out door Hot Tub, how nice was that!!
Nature playes a big part in the enjoyment of Phenix nest, with dear, sea lions, seals and the Ospreys coming to call, we even got a video of the Osprey catching and carrying a fish in its tallons, a memory we will keep forever.
If your reading this with a view to maybe booking the Phoenix Nest, do it now, you won't be disappointed!!
