SUNNY VIEWS, CONVENIENT LOCATION, HOT TUB & SHUTTLE (WINTER)!

Our family of four stayed at Joanie and Aaron’s condo from Feb.14-19, 2013. It certainly helped that we started off with two snowy powder days followed by clear sunny weather the next three days. The condo was clean, spacious and perfect for our needs. Our teenage kids used the lower bedroom which was arranged to have separate beds. My wife and I used the upstairs bedroom which is set up with a washroom right beside it and a pocket door separating both rooms from the hallway ( creating a private space with an ensuite ). The condo was even nicer than it looks in the photos and was well equipped. There is good water pressure in the showers as well. If you are early risers you can watch from the windowed living room as the sun comes up and illuminates the surrounding mountains. Our family has been renting condos at ski resorts for a number of years. Simba Run is one of the best condo complexes we have ever visited. There is a designated indoor parking spot for this unit, close to the entrance to the building. The shuttle service picks up in the garage not far from the door to the ski lockers (which were very large and easy to use-with a key lock supplied rather than combo). There was very little waiting for the private shuttle (usually a couple of minutes or less). The drop off at Lionshead is a five minute drive and a then a short walk to the lifts. It is about a minute more to Vail Village but a longer walk to the lifts with a lot of stairs. I would stick to Lionshead in the moring. There is easy access to the main village and Lionshead for an evening out with the shuttle that runs until 11:00 pm. Joanie was a pleasure to deal with. She was very responsive and accomodating. We asked for a late check out and as no one was coming in on our last day it was no problem. Everything was set up by e-mail without a hitch and at a lower price than dealing directly with the resort to book. I highly recommend this condo if you are visiting Vail.

I came to Vail and Simba Run in January for 3 days to ski with my two adult daughters. Although I have stayed at Simba several times in my younger skiing days, this particular property exceeded all our expectations. The unit itself is impeccably maintained, very well equipped with every imaginable need, and has tons of room for both socializing and privacy. On the top floor, the updated kitchen opens up to a large living room with fireplace and dining area and includes a master bedroom and full bath at the top of the stairs. The lower level, where you enter the unit, has another bedroom and full bath and an in unit washer and dryer. The condo is incredibly clean and the owners are dedicated to make you feel at home.
Simba Run is both economical and convenient. My favorite features of the property are indoor assigned parking, complimentary door to door shuttle bus service to the slopes during the day and restaurants at night with short waits, and a large indoor swimming pool and 2 hot tubs (including one outdoors). There is also a complementary Starbucks hot chocolate/coffee machine and free internet in lobby. The staff, including shuttle drivers are all very friendly.

What a GREAT time we had last SUN 7/22 and MON 7/23 staying in this condo. It was just perfect for us (my husband, Mother and a couple friends.) The downstairs Master was nice and private. The kitchen/ dining area very comfortable for cooking and dining.The views off the balcony are beautiful and the place is decorated so lovely & whimsically. The outdoor hot tub was very soothing after a day of shopping...LOL! We will definitely be returning!!! Be advised that the main living area is on the second floor and there are no ice machines at Simba Run.
