Dora and I would like to thank you for a wonderful holiday in Hawaii. The Cottage was exactly as advertised and this was exactly what we were looking for on our trip to the Big Island. It gave us the opportunity to experience Hawaii in a way that felt more like being part of a community rather than just one more tourist in a sea of other tourists. We used it as our base to explore the island and it was always reassuring knowing that we had a lovely comfortable little home to return to after an adventure. Both Kelly and Jeri are wonderful folks to deal with and you should be very pleased with how they relate to your guests. We were so tempted to stay another couple of weeks but then Spring here on Vancouver Island is something we didn't want to miss. Mahalo.
I fell in love with the Big Island several years ago and in 2007 I had the opportunity to buy a place of my own on the Kona coast. I really enjoy sharing the beauty of my Hawaiian cottage with others. I can't be on the island full-time and sharing this incredible place with you brings me joy. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I do when I am on the Big Island.
I love being part of the historical Kona coffee growing area of the island. I can watch the coffee cherries mature over the year from the delicate white coffee flowers to the deep red of ripe coffee cherry ready for harvest. I also enjoy the cooler temperatures at our elevation of 1100 feet above sea level. The cottage is a very comfortable place to stay any time of the year.
I find such peace and pleasure when I snorkel with the colorful tropical fish and sea turtles at Kahalu'u Beach Park, only 7 minutes from my lovely cottage. I can enjoy gorgeous sunsets from the screened-in lanai and on clear, moonless nights, I can see the Milky Way. I also love eating the bananas and avocados that grow on my property. I can't think of a better place to stay on the Kona coast.
