Photos and Description of the Bohal vacation cottage rental Two detached cottages sleeping 6 and 5.

Set in a valley designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, Le Cleyo is a grand old, stone built, Miller’s house, beautifully restored with ancient oak beams and an enormous Breton fireplace. La Claie is a converted stable with a deceptively spacious, light, and airy interior. The cottages are set in six acres of woodland and fields with their own tranquil fishing lake and a beautiful stretch of private riverbank, overlooking an ancient mill and millpond complete with weeping willows. This idyllic location is a wildlife haven, clean and peaceful enough to have resident otters. It's also within easy reach of fabulous beaches and rugged coastline making it ideal for family holidays.

We first visited the gite La Claie in 2005 and had such a fantastic holiday
that we returned this year in 2006. The gite and its location are idyllic and
very beautiful and Martin, Gill, and their lovely daughter Hannah are the
perfect hosts with whom we have become good friends. Special mention to Meg who is quite
simply the loveliest dog we have ever come across. The lake, mill pond, and the river add that
special touch to the gite and we will certainly be returning to holiday there again in the
future.

Beautiful Bohal.

We spent a lovely, relaxing fortnight staying in the old millers cottage 'Le Cleyo'.
Our hosts were welcoming without being obtrusive.
The house is clean, comfortable and well equipped.
The grounds are excellent, with on site fishing in the river or lake, and walks in the gardens, woodland or surrounding countryside.
The nearest town, Mallestroit, is charming and an ideal starting point for cylcle rides along the canal or voie verte. We particulary liked the restaurant 'Le Gran De Sel' and dined there on a number of occassions.
Further afield there is lots of things to see and do. The coast is only 30-35K away with good beaches around Carnac and quaint harbours like Auray.
Rochefort en Terre is quite nearby and well worth a visit as is Vannes.
We would certainly reccomend Le Cleyo and look forward to our next visit to the area.

La Claie

Review Submitted: August 20, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We had such a brilliant holiday at La Claie. The little valley that the house is in is absolutely beautiful. We spent our evenings barbecuing and fishing in the river which runs just next to the house. When looking for a place to stay in Brittany we spent about three days trawling through websites and picked La Claie out of boredom and confusion more than anything else. When we got there we could not believe our luck. The house itself was perfect. There was loads of space and it was really well equipped (I know that is a boring point, but it can make a real difference). Our hosts were charming; welcoming and helpful.
We found that La Claie was also perfectly situated, being within easy distance of so many interesting things to do. We found lots of little towns to explore, fantastic beaches and pretty countryside.
We really cannot recommend this house highly enough.
