Only one block to Versace Mansion 'Casa Casuarina'.Build in 1941,this Deco gem was one of the first Hotel to be restored and is now shuttered for a second redo. Fans will recognize it as the nightclub from The Birdcage. Film Biography includes: Bad Boys 2 (2003) Random Hearts (1999) The Birdcage (1996) Scarface (1983).

This place has a great open layout which is romantic, bright, and spacious. Very "South Beach". Right on Ocean Drive and steps away from the nightlife and shopping of Collins and Washington Avenues. The pictures accurately represent the property excluding the ocean view. You can see the ocean but it is not as direct as the photo would seem. The property is very clean and the staff very helpful. The only challenge I had was, at the time of my visit, there were no towel racks for wet towels and the window shades offer privacy but do not filter much light so if you like to sleep in, consider that. I would highly recommend this property to a friend. It is a much better value than a comparable space in hotel.
