Our spacious three level fully equipped townhouse is nestled in the heart of one of the most spectacular and exciting mountain regions in the world! Yellowstone National Park with all its thermal features, wildlife and more is just a few blocks away. Drive in your own car, snowmobile, take a snowcoach or tour bus, or ski, bike or hike the park.
In winter, groomed snowmobile trails (five trailheads within eight blocks, one right in front of the townhouses) lead to unbelievable mountain vistas. Deep powder riding, trail touring on 600 miles of expertly groomed trails, steep mountain high-marking, thousands of square miles of wide open roller coaster back country bush-whacking, and unforgettable photo opportunities beckon. Food and refreshment spots run by friendly mountain locals are hidden all along the trails. Then after an exhilarating ride back to town, the townhouse welcomes you with a roaring fire, Direct TV, and a full kitchen in which to rustle up some grub. Or, head a few blocks downtown (snowmobiles are allowed on most streets) to sample a wide assortment of fine restaurants, watering holes, poker rooms, casinos and more. Don't stay out too late as an overnight snowfall will bring a new day of adventure (There are over 14 days worth of snowmobile destinations to ensure you never get tired of the riding!).
Summer visitors have a multitude of choices each day also. Besides visiting the wonders of Yellowstone, the following are some not to be missed sights, all within about 125 miles of the lodgings: I-MAX Theatre, Grizzly and Wolf Center, Museum of the Yellowstone, rodeos and more, all within blocks of the townhouse, Hebgen Lake, Sawtell Mountain road above the clouds, Big Sky Ski Hill and Gondola Ride, Centennial valley and Red Rock Wildlife Refuge along with Elk Lake Camp, Madison River, Gravelley Range Road auto tour, Virginia City gold mining town, Lewis and Clark Caverns, Rexberg sand dunes, Jackson Wyoming, Beartooth Highway, 1957 Earthquake Memorial and many more.
West Yellowstone is also at the epicenter of possibly the finest fly-fishing area in the country. The Madison River, Henry's Lake, Henry's Fork of the Snake, Firehole River, Yellowstone Lake, Hebgen Lake, Wade Lake, Cliff Lake and many more are all in close proximity. Bud Lilly's and many other fishing shops in town have gear, advice and guides. Be sure to try your hand at catching a lunker!
We've been staying at this condo every year since 2004. It is conveniently located in the town of West Yellowstone and its proximity to the national park west entrance cannot be beat. When I arrived in October the owner had sorted out the issues that previous renters had experienced last August and I found the unit fully cleaned and with no adverse odors. The fully stocked kitchen included every appliance and utensil we needed to cook 2-3 meals per day. Our group size was 8 adults, however we found there was plenty of space in the unit without feeling cramped. There is a fully functional clothes washer and dryer in the basement as well as a recently remodeled bathroom with shower that saw plenty of use during our stay. We look forward to another great experience this year when we return for our 12th year.
we rental martys condo for 7 days write after christmas through new years and it was great there was 8 adults in our group and we had a great time the snow was great the condo was everything we expected and more we had plenty of room, everything that we needed in the kitchen to make our meals and enough room for all of use to enjoy ourselves marty and his cleaning person have there stuff together we have no complaints place was clean side walk was shoveled everyday beings it snowed just about everyday. cant wait to head back out next year going to stay at martys condo for sure !!!
We have a group of eight and we have been coming here for eight years. There is plenty of room and it is well supplied. We always bring our own meals and have found all the supplies we need for preparing and serving our meals. It is clean and very convenient. We bring our snowmobiles and trailers and the location is safe and quiet. Marty has been very accommodating and helpful. The main level is very nice for watching TV, reading or playing games. Sleeping space is upstairs or on the lower level so there is separate space so people can spread out as needed. There are bathrooms upstairs and on the lower level. We will definitely be returning as this works very well for our group. John G
We have been to Yellowstone with kids in tow many times and usually stay in a townhouse. This particular one was below standard. The listing did not make false claims, but the listing and the owner gave me the impression it was nice, clean, well stocked town. It was not. The house smelled terrible and the carpet was dated and dirty. (We definitely did not take off our shoes.) The linens were thread bare and the towels were old. The kitchen was stocked with old, worn out items. We found only only one pan that did not have much of the teflon peeling off and then had to clean 1/4 inch of burnt food off the bottom of it. The rooms are stuffed with beds and very cramped.
The property was located on the west side of town within walking distance. It was convenient and economical. The unit was older, worn and we did not feel the cleanliness was up to par. Strong mildew smell in two bathrooms masked by heavy air fresheners. We did not think it was up to the level of the other VRBO units we have stayed at in the past. In the future we will steer away from a lower cost unit.
The condo was large enough and well stocked. Pictures of main level are accurate, somewhat dated but seemed clean enough. The carpet on the lower and main levels was very dated and did not feel clean, to be honest I didn't want to walk around bare footed. Bathroom vanities/sinks were also a little rough. There were several things in the basement that made me question how well it had been cleaned. I can handle dated as long as I feel like it is clean, but I just didn't get that feeling with this place. The owner was very nice and helpful, gave great information prior to the visit, but ultimately, I would not be able to recommend this place.
Located on west entrance of Yellowstone Park, 30 miles to Old Faithful Geyser area, 45 miles to Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, 57 miles to Big Sky Ski Resort, 80 miles to Virginia City, 100 miles to Lewis and Clark Caverns. Catch your dinner in numerous trout rivers and lakes throughout the area plus view majestic mountains rising to above 10,000 feet ringing the region, some visible from the townhouses. Wildlife including buffalo, elk, deer, bears, wolves and more can be viewed while taking back road wildlife trips. Visit the Grizzly/Wolf center and view bears and wolves up close. Check out Big Springs just over the mountain in Idaho to see an enormous spring releasing crystal clear water and feed the monster trout swimming about. Drive up the road to the radar dome above the clouds at Mt Sawtell just 21 miles away. Enjoy lunch or dinner at many fine restaurants in town or on Hebgen Lake just a few miles away. We know you'll love the townhouse and surrounding attractions.
