Nice stay..But beware of cleaning deposit.

Had a great time with my family.Cabin was in a nice location and a quick drive from Phoenix. However I was very disapointed that I did not get my depoist back, as my family and myself spent several hours sweeping, mopping, vacuum, dusting, cleaning dishes, windows, and washing/drying bedding and did not get our depoist back. Be prepared to spend half your stay cleaning.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your business and feedback. We appreciate you and your opinion. We try to keep our rates as low as possible and in doing so we give renters the option to clean or have our cleaners do the work. Most cabin charge a cleaning fee of 100 to 150 that is nonrefundable, we give you the option. The reason you did not get a full deposit back is not because the house was in shambles when you got there or the lack normal cleaning like dusting (we dont require you to dust), it was the cost in cleaning up after your party. We make our deposits refundable because we do not want to punish those that treat the house as their own and pick up after themselves. In the 5 years we have been renting we have had to take a deposit 3 times. We strive to be fair to our clients. As discussed with you on the phone, the full deposit was not refunded because there were 27 towels left unwashed which equaled 6 loads of laundry, none of the beds were made or changed, hundreds of cigarette butts, beer bottles, food and trash strewed across the property. We have cleaners come and check the property to make sure it is ready for the next group, most of the time nothing is required, in this case quite a bit was. I am sorry for your disappointment and do value your business. I hope that you do come back and see us again.
