Villa Serena Rosa is set in a beautiful, tranquil location with mature gardens, plenty of shade & privacy, a large swimming pool and sea views. Just a short walk to the spectacular beach and amenities at Cala 'n Porter. The property consists of: large beamed lounge/ dining room, with 2 sofas (one is a double sofa bed), lounge chairs, TV + satellite, video, stereo, dining table and chairs and a wall unit. Inside the Villa is a separate bathroom with bath, shower curtains, toilet, bidet, washbasin and washing machine. The Villa stands in 700 square metres of mature gardens including five palm trees, figs, almonds, dates and limes. There are sea views from the pool, garden and terrace.

Cala n Porter is the most established resort in the island conveniently located 10 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from Mahon, apart from an amazingly beach and cliff setting the resort has all the facilities that one would expect with the added benefit of not being overly tacky, there is a mini road train which runs from the village to the beach and the cosmopolitan shopping, harbour and night life of Mahon is near by. The capital was occupied by the British and there is a subtle affinity between Britain and Menorca the food however tastes much better as dose the beer. There is also good accessibility to the whole of the island. The villa is set in secluded mature gardens and there is plenty of privacy and shade just a stones throw from amazing cliff walks. There are many ancient prehistoric caves and monuments scattered all over the island.

Just a 10 Minute stroll from our Villa is the spectacular Cova d'en Xoroi which is a bar by day and disco at night. The club is located inside an Atlantean grotto full of mythology and history, the Cova is a unique place of inspiration. Also near spectacular cliff walks sea access 5 min, 10 min to beautiful and unspoilt calan porter beach and village plenty of facilities for families

The ancient Menorcan's were naked in the summer and fought there enemies with slings. You cannot help but notice the seemingly endless dry-stone walls which criss-cross the land and the many mysterious ancient Taliot's and Taula's which are scattered all over Menorca. In the adjacent cove which is 20min walk with amazing views lies calas covas which is a great spot for snorkeling away and swimming

Golf: Son Parc which is a 20min drive has a great golf course with great sea views, there is a diving school in cala galdana and glass bottom boat trips from Mahon harbour just a 15 min drive away.

This villa surpassed our expectations..
The photos did not do it justice ! The owner rightly focuses on the lovely pool and gardens and the privacy and the peacefulness.
However given the low prices etc and virtually no pictures of the interior of the villa we were expecting a very basic standard of accomodation. We were delighted to discover a modern, well equipped kitchen, two bathrooms/shower rooms with white suites/recent re-tiling, spacious bedrooms and everything we needed .
There is no counting out of cutlery here etc..you can tell that someone has lived here as a home and the housekeeper lives next door and everything is spotless with invaluable local advice available if you so wish..
The description of the property and location is accurate and honest but please bear in mind that this resort is very hilly so a 10 mins walk is fine for able bodied and fit adults but may be considerably more so for children/older folk !! (especially in the heat !)
The owner and housekeeper are very amicable re. early arrivals etc as long as there is no one else in the property/they have had chance to clean it thoroughly .
We are looking forward to a rreturn visit !
