One bedroom apt. overlooking small beach at entrance to Rocky Neck Art Colony in Gloucester. Wonderful, unobstructed ocean views; you can see across to 'Norman's Woe' made famous by Longfellow's 'Wreck of the Hesperus'; on a clear day you can see to Boston. Fishing, lobster, and sail boats pass by. Want to swim? Just walk downstairs. At high tide the ocean is just a few steps from the building. In the evening, sit on your deck and watch the sunset over the water or walk about 2 minutes to see a performance at the Gloucester Stage Company. A few minutes in the other direction brings you to the galleries and summer restaurants of Rocky Neck. Great location for sea kayakers. The apartment is on the third (top) floor. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom & a sofa in the living room that opens to a full size bed. The bedroom & living room each have a window air conditioning unit. The living room has a slider that opens to the waterfront deck.

Gloucester has long been famous for its beautiful scenery, art galleries and fishing industry. Many films from Captains Courageous to The Perfect Storm have showcased our unique heritage. A visitor can sail on an old fashioned schooner, go on a harbor cruise, whale watch, enjoy deep see fishing, or simply fish off the breakwater. Aside from many available water sports, there are museums (Hammond Castle, Cape Ann Historical & more), there is a symphony orchestra, chamber music festival, live theater, summer bandstand, and many cultural offerings from the community. There are several summer festivals including St. Peter's Fiesta and the Schooner Races. Although there is plenty to do on Cape Ann, we are only an hour by train from Boston. Whether you want to lie on the beach, hike and kayak, or stroll museums and galleries, Gloucester can accommodate you.

Beautiful sunsets viewed from deck. Enjoyed birdwatching on the beach. Close to art colony and galleries on Rocky Neck. Gorgeous English gardens and flower boxes abound. Short walk to Niles Beach. Picturesque views of Gloucester Harbor all within walking distance. Very clean and serviceable kitchen. Large fridge, coffeemaker, utensils, pots and pans provided. Comfortable bed. Full dresser, hanging space. All around enjoyable experience!!
