So close to the water, you will think you are on a houseboat. Every room has a beautiful view. Perfect spot for the nature lover. Relax on the screen porch and watch the snowy egrets, anhingas, and blue herons. Fish from the private dock, South Carolina Fishing licence required. The lake is not for swimming, as we have several alligators. Master Bedroom upstairs has king size bed, gas fireplace, and best of all, a private screen porch overlooking lake. Downstairs, the 'bar' has queen size sleeper sofa with comfortable memory foam and adjoining full bath. Fully equipped kitchen has gas stove top and electric oven. This beautifully decorated condo in Hanahan, is just 17 miles from historic Charleston for fine dining and shopping. The ocean is just minutes away, or enjoy the fun of Whirling Waters at Wanamaker Park just 5 minutes away. There is something for everyone, from the North Charleston Coliseum events, antique shopping, ice skating, or just relaxing and enjoying nature.

Otranto subdivision in Hanahan, SC, is a quiet residential neighborhood. We are 17 miles from downtown Charleston. Charleston is well known for its historic homes, fine dining and beautiful beaches. Otranto is a bird sanctuary, and you will enjoy watching the many different water birds. Our favorites are the anhingas, snowy egrets, and blue herons. We have several alligators in the reservoir, and one makes his home directly across from our condo. Because of our reptile friends, the lake is not for swimming, and children must be supervised. You can fish right off our dock.

we stayed here last April and everything exceeded expectations. The interior of the house is beautiful-- full of lovely nature artwork and lovely furniture. So often a rental is poorly furnished ,but not this one. The back porch is wonderful for sitting watching the alligators, waterbirds and one one occasion,2 fishermen falliing out of their boat only feet away from the largest alligator I've ever seen. There is a special room with a telescope, pointed towards where we had "Big Al" the alligator resting. Downtown Charleston is nearby but this is paradise. We will return
