The kitchen is fully-equipped and was remodeled in 1999. A new bathroom and shower was also added in 1999. This is in addition to an existing bathroom and shower that was updated in 1999. Outdoors is an enclosed shower with running hot and cold water. Located in the living room of the cottage is a glass fronted, gas fired, thermostat controlled, heating logs which can be used if needed. Three ceiling fans and additional fans are present and again can be used as needed. The interior of the cottage is decorated to have a rustic look; that is wood ceilings and walls and brightly colored fabrics on beds and windows. The enclosed screened porch has both a seating area and a dining area, plus has views of the dunes and Cape Cod Bay. In addition, there is a separate dining room which also has views of the dunes and bay.
The beach is gently sloping and usually perfect for swimming. When tides go out, the sandbars make an ideal place for walking. Nearby are many casual and fine restaurants as well as art galleries and shopping of all kinds. The township of Eastham is home to the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitors Center and miles of National Seashore Beaches located on the Atlantic Ocean. When there is low tide on Cape Cod Bay, swimming is available at a local fresh water pond, or on the Atlantic Ocean side of Eastham. One last thing, the sunsets on Cape Cod Bay are spectacular---most people plan their 'away from cottage' activities to not interfere with watching the sunsets!
