In our local area for winter, there are 5 ski trails to go skiing, tubing, ice skating. You can go horseback riding, out to dinner to many restaurants, tax-free mall shopping, The Crossroads! In summer, you can go swimming in our pools and beaches, hiking, horseback riding, state parks, and quad trails. A Clubhouse on the property includes a fine restaurant and a grill and a bar with dancing. You can swim in the largest outdoor-heated pool or one of our 2 lakes. We have a professional level tennis facility and a 9-hole golf course. The are many excellent restaurants in the area.

New Years Eve Weekend, The Best In Years!!

My boyfriend and I, and 3 other couples spent NYE weekend at this house to ring in 2011. We could not have asked for a better house. Clean, beautiful, amazing location, and enough space!! Dr. T was very helpful and we honestly could not have had a better time. Everything is modern, up to date, and very clean.

Thank you Dr. T for this rental, and we hope to be back next year!!

Wonderful Place

What a lovely stay. My friends and I wanted to escape NYC for a long weekend.. and we chose this house. It was the best choice we made!!! First off Dr. T was very helpful in explaning all the fine deatils to me. She was wonderful.
When we got to the house we fell in love.. The house was spacious and homy... The house is clean. The location was nice. I really can not say anything bad about this house!!! We loved it and will def be back!!

We stayed the week before Easter, in Early April. The house is very cosy (warm) and has lots of space. We are a family of 5 and we didn't have any space problems. We could have easily slept 3 more people and all fit well.

We stayed at Timpber Trails because;
a) good location overall in the Poconos
b) the clubhouse offers great indoor activities for our kids at this time of year.

We swam every day, played tennis and would definitely recommend paying the extra fee to "join" temporarily if you are renting during a cooler time like we did. The house is about as close as any to the clubhouse, very convenient. We also walked easily to one of the beaches at Lake Naomi.

Our only "problem" was a well advised need to upgrade the cable and internet that was done on Thursday morning. Everything in the house and generally works well. The plumbing is a well and septic tank and drains a bit slowly, but that was a minor detail.

I would warn away anyone who does not want to climb stairs. Not a problem for us, but if stairs are a concern, do not stay here. The house is set up for the what looks like the owners granchildren. If you have elemntary school aged kids or a bit younger, this is a good spot.

We grilled and enjoyed the hot tub, even if it was a wee bit chilly!

The home was everything it said it was. We had a party of 12 and there was plenty of room. It was actually bigger than expected.
Bring extra things for the kitchen like pots and pans if you have a large group. There were come provided but for a large group it was tough. Everything was clean and well taken care of. And a very safe, secure area. Guards at the gate were friendly and helpful. It was a close car ride to the mountains for skiing. The owner was available when needed for questions or information.
