Reconnect as you enjoy a simpler pace of life at this secluded waterfront destination located within the Coosawattee River Resort!
Listen to the river's 'concert', gather around the cozy fireplace, sink into Adirondack chairs at the riverside fire ring, or relax in the hot tub. Experience nature's serenity while fly fishing, tubing, playing pool, or losing yourself in a book. This log cabin, with its charming mountain décor and comfortable furnishings, is the perfect escape from your daily routine. Feel worlds away from it all with Chattanooga and Atlanta only a short trip away. Yes, internet access is available for those who can't live without it.
Our family consists of two Atlanta area professionals with three children who keep us very, very busy. We understand the value of precious vacation time and how necessary it is to get away from the hectic day to day.
Jennifer Elwood purchased this cabin in 2007
We chose this cabin because we love to sit on the front porch or near the fire pit and listen to the river rapids. The North Georgia mountains offers our family an opportunity to escape the business of suburban living, but is close enough to take advantage of on a regular basis.
Just a short note to let you know we really enjoyed our vacation at the cabin. The Smores were a nice surprise especially since my granddaughter asked me on the way there if I remembered to bring marshmallows. The water was a very nice surprise. Your pictures do not show how beautiful it really is.

Thank you Jennifer and Lonnie for opening up your cabin for our fabulous family vacation!! This was such a relaxing time where we could all reconnect with each other. Our two sons, their wives and our three little grandchildren - Noah 5 1/2 years, Brannon almost 5 years and Natalie almost 3 years old really enjoyed the river. Tubing was such an adventure and wading/playing in the cool water was refreshing. We enjoyed walking and exploring and took tons of pictures. We loved the camp fire and making s'mores. One day was spent riding the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway but otherwise we did not feel the need to go anywhere else. There were plenty of games at the cabin but would recommend bringing additional paper supplies and your own body wash/soap. Stocking up before you settle in is best because you won't want to leave!
We had great Thanksgiving at your place. Great cabin all the beauty you could ask for Took walks along the River. the cabin is a must if you want a beautiful scenery along the river along with great accomadations.
This cabin is absolutely everything we wanted. We wanted a nice peaceful place and that is exactly what we got.. This place is not only beautiful but is very peaceful!!! We did not want to leave..our 4 legged children enjoyed the cabin as well.
We had a fantastic time at this cabin. We booked last minute (the day before check-in) and Jennifer was very accommodating! This cabin has something for everyone, and would be great for a couple, to a small family, or a large group of people! This was a family trip for us, and included my husband, 20 month old toddler, and dog. There is an upstairs loft with 2 beds, a main floor private bedroom, and 2 downstairs bedrooms. There are 3 bathrooms, but only 2 have showers; the upstairs has just a Jacuzzi tub. The kitchen/dining/living room is small, but open concept. The couch and chair in the living room are very comfortable. The main living area opens out to a really large screened in deck, with a big picnic table and swing to seat 4 people! Just outside the main door is a large hot tub, under a covered pavilion. The thermostat and jets worked very well, which is always a concern if you enjoy spending time in the hot tub. But BEST OF ALL you are RIGHT ON A RIVER, with a view from the porch, and the amazing sound of the rapids when you're outside or have the windows/doors open! The fire pit by the river is where we spent most of our time. If you don't want to have your campfire outside, there is a nice fireplace inside. We loved the location of this cabin so much, we plan on coming back in the summer, when it's warm enough to tube down the river. The owner even has tubes for you to use! And, lastly, there is a pool table downstairs! There are neighbors, but the property was private enough. We enjoyed walking along the river and checking out the other homes. The cabin is in a development, but don't let that detour you. There are amenities within the development, like an indoor pool, rec center, and fishing pond that you would never have elsewhere. However, it takes 20 minutes or so to get to these, and 20 minutes just to get off the mountain into town. There are so many things to do nearby, including white water rafting, hiking, biking, drive-in movie theatre, antiquing, and apple orchards just to name a few. But this cabin has a lot to offer; I don't know that you need to go anywhere else. And if you can't live without TV or wi-fi, that was in great working order too. If you have young children, there is a pack and play and one baby gate for the stairs. My only complaint was the limited amount of towels. You should definitely plan on bringing extra towels for not only the bathroom, but the hot tub or outdoor use.
We loved the cabin!! There was plenty of room for our party of 9. The pool table was a nice surprise! Our teens loved having their own space to hang out. We also enjoyed looking at the deer that were everywhere, not to mention the relaxing fire by the river at night! The cabin was much more than we were expecting~ we loved it, and cannot wait to return!
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!! The view of the
river, and the comfort and tranquility of the cabin were just awesome!! We
loved the screened in porch. Although it rained and we were only able to
enjoy the River for one day, we made the best of a "wet" situation, by playing
cards and pool. We drove to the Rec center, but the pool was closed because
of thunder and putt putt was washed out. Thankfully your cabin kept us dry and
comfortable. We would love to come back some day and get in a little more
tubing!!! We tried to leave things as nice as we found them. Thank you again
and I would recommend this cabin to everyone!
