Truly a Home -- Filled with Love and Care

This property is not just a summer rental, but a true home. When you walk through the door, you immediately feel like you are being welcomed into a close friend’s home. The love and warmth of the owners is palpable and the care that they have taken to make you comfortable is immediately evident. We were reminded of our grandparents' home and all the great times we had there. We were able to have all the family around the dining room table (with its many leaves) to eat a meal together for the first time in years. I think we had at least 16 people around the table and it was wonderful.
One of the nicest things about the house is that they have everything you could possibly need during a stay. There are tags hung all over the house that tell you where to look for things, and the kitchen is completely stocked with pans and plates and all the utensils you’ll need for most any dish you may decide to concoct. There was even a crockpot and lobster pot. Also a microwave, toaster over, 4 slot toaster, coffee maker, ice machine, dish washer and clothes washer and dryer. They have documented each drawer and cabinet in a clever photo document, so when looking for something, you can locate it quickly using their guide. Even without the guide, things are so well organized, that you’d find them quickly.
There are boogie boards, bikes, plenty of towels and beach towels, beach chairs, kid's sand shovels and pails, games, puzzles, videos and tv's in all the rooms (not that you need them with all the activities you can enjoy). The beach is across the street -- you can see the sand from the front porch. We enjoyed walking the beach and visiting Twilight Lake, which is one block inland. Within walking distance were the Grenville Inn’s restaurant, the Marlin Sports Bar and 7-11 and a Rockin’ Joe’s coffee house with live music.
The living room is set up so everyone can be hanging out in the same room, chatting, some doing puzzles while others are playing a game and grandma is asleep in a comfy chair. Wonderful!
The side porch is screened in with a table and plenty of chairs to sit and enjoy the wonderful beach breeze. There’s also a side yard with grass that kids can run around and play in and gigantic gas grill for bbq’s. The house also had wifi for those of us who are sometimes attached to our laptops.
The only downside I found to this house was that we had to leave. It has been a few days now, and I still feel a sense of loss. I can’t wait to visit again!
