Guest Comments:: Terry and Michelle; We wanted to thank you again for making our trip to Maine an enjoyable one. The internet access worked great and allowed me to attend my national broadcast for work. I hope that the house will be available next year. Thanks once again, Suzanne D - CT July 2008-------Terry and Michelle; Can't believe almost time for me to leave. Have enjoyed stay immensely and have painted many paintings. Shelley F - New York NY Aug 2007------Michelle & Terry; Our time at the cottage has more than met our expectations! From the birds chirping, bullfrogs conversing and the loons cry. Never have I seen so many dragonflies! We will certainly recommend this wonderful cottage to our friends. - Stella and Ken M NH July 2007
Guest Comments - continued:: Michelle & Terry; Well, Dad, Uncle Nick and I enjoyed our 3 days of fishing based out of your lovely cottage. Lake St. George, where the people are mellow and there is less boat traffic than equivalent sized lakes in Maine. It makes an ideal area for angling and just plain old enjoying nature's eye candy. Brooke H ME June 2008------Terry and Michelle; Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know that we arrived yesterday with no problem. Picked up some groceries at Tobeys and spent the late afternoon/evening settling in and sitting out on the deck. The house is great! It exceeded all of our expectations and we look forward to spending our week here.
Today we will probably embark on a hike. Robin H - PA Aug 2008------Terry and Michelle; I am connected to the internet and we are enjoying the quiet, beautiful place you have. We had such a nice time at your cottage even with all the rain. It is sad to leave it all behind. Kim G - PA Aug 2008
Liberty Maine Cottage is located in a rural residential neighborhood along a pristine waterway. Guest shall be sensitive to the premises and the natural environment of its surroundings, so as not to disturb or disrespect other residents, vegetation or the shoreline.
We are sixty somethings that came to the Midcoast area in 1971, fell in love with people, place and lifestyle and have been coming back ever since.
The Liberty area is home to a variety of local artisans - woodworkers, potters, weavers, cheese makers, brewers, small organic farms and more. These cottage industries line the byways and invite you inside while you explore the beautiful, rolling countryside along the Appleton Ridge. Venturing further abroad, Mid-Coast Maine also offers something for everyone. For the hands-on vacationer there are windjammer cruises and sea kayaking. Nationally recognized learning programs such as the Maine Photographic Workshop in Rockport, or classes at The Waterfalls Arts Center are also available. For those looking to discover the cultural richness of the Maine coast, there are museums, galleries, theaters and concerts to appeal to every taste, including Concerts in the park, Blues, Jazz, Lobster, and Blueberry Festivals, as well as boat races and country fairs. It can serve as a home base for engaging in pleasures like hiking, biking, swimming, boating, birding, fishing, antique shopping and more
