Chalet, 4 Bedrooms + Loft, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Cresting at 5,506 feet, North Carolina’s Beech Mountain is Eastern America’s highest town and resort community. Here is the place for all seasons and all ages and where you can do all the things you want, even if it means doing nothing at all.

Our Beech House is a fully furnished chalet with 4 bedrooms/3 baths, plus a spacious loft near Ski Beech. This quiet and serene private retreat is surrounded by nature. Deer and rabbits are our frequent visitors. Out on the 2 large decks, you can watch the sunset, capture the breath-taking mountain views, and be caressed by the cool mountain breeze.

The main entrance is located on the second level where you will find the completely updated kitchen with a breakfast bar, great room with a wood burning stone fireplace, master bedroom/bath and guest bedroom/bath. A staircase will lead you up to the spacious loft overlooking the great room, where you will find a king bed and a cozy corner to enjoy some quiet time. On the ground level of our chalet, you will find 2 smaller bunk rooms/1 bath and washer/dryer. Each bunk room has a twin bed.

After a day filled with exciting adventures, it is a real treat to relax and unwind in the cozy Beech House. Watch cable or enjoy a movie or two on the wide-screen TV in surround sound, surf the net, play cards, video/board games, or cook a nice meal on the grill while watching the sunset. The Beech House has all the comforts of home with amenities that are just minutes away.

Summertime with temperatures highest at the low 70’s is a great time to visit the high mountain. As the leaves turn golden, orange, and red in the fall, the panoramic view of the array of color stretching across the mountain range is truly breath-taking. When the snow falls, Beech Mountain turns into a winter wonderland. It is a ton of fun to ski on Eastern America’s highest slopes and skate on the outdoor ice skating rink surrounded by an old world Swiss style shopping village.

As our guest, you may enjoy full privileges at the Buckeye Recreation Center (small fees may apply). If you are the adventurous type, how about a hike and picnic by the creeks or waterfalls as you discover the beautiful wildlife surrounding you, or a bike ride following the trail Lance Armstrong trained for the Tour du Pont?

If you’d like to explore outside of Beech Mountain, many attractions (e.g. Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns), theme parks (e.g. Tweetsie Railroad), and other outdoor activities (e.g. horseback riding, whitewater rafting, fly fishing) are only a short ride away. Nice place to stay

My wife and two young children recently visited this property and were all very satisfied with the accommodations.There were many activities nearby, horseback riding, trout pond, (they clean the fish for you) Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, and a Beautiful lake in Tennessee. Other than the lake, all within 20 minutes drive time.Several good restaurants located just down the road. It was not uncommon to wake up and see deer in the front yard. The house was clean located in a very quite neighborhood, a very nice place to stay.

Great house!!! The chalet was very clean and well appointed and only minutes from the slopes. Our kids could sled right in the driveway. There were deer in the yard every evening and lots of them. This is a fantastic place to stay a pleasure to come back to after a day on the mountain. If there is snow or ice you will need a 4x4, I am glad we had ours.

The owners were great to work with and were very prompt with responding to inquiries. The location was perfect for us. We were super close to Beech Mountain and were able to get to the other Mountains quickly. My sons liked hanging out upstairs in the loft playing cards and my brother enjoyed the bunk room below which allowed him to have his own space. The staff at Beech Mountain was great and we took the kids zip lining at Hawks Nest (was tons of fun).

Wonderful deal on a spectacular rental chalet. Very clean and unique mountain home on a quiet street. Sleeps 8 so great for large families or groups of friends. Lots to do nearby, lots of wildlife. Skiing at ski beech is awesome! Also close to Sugar Mountain skiing. The kids loved sledding in the driveway We have stayed here twice and plan on staying again soon.
