Absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway or, family get together. Tastefully decorated in country style furnishings. Right in the center of everything, yet tucked away amongst the pines in a nice quiet neighborhood.

Great ski season this year so far!

We are a family from the island of Maui. Even, though Maui is beautiful and it has been our permanent residence for 18 years. We love our cabin here in South Lake. Skiing is awesome! The summer's are awesome!

We bought this cabin in this location because, it was next to properties that were vacation homes and full time residence. It's only three blocks back from South Lake Tahoe Blvd. So, very private and quiet and there are no homes behind us. You can walk to the bus stop easily.

The cabin has a real nice open floor plan down stairs and it has original pine walls that gave it a rustic cozy feel, yet had been upgraded in the kitchen and bathroom. New double pane windows and the home has a tudor style look to it. So great curb appeal.

What makes this cabin unique

The unique benefits to this location is we are 5 minutes to Heavenly Valley Ski Resort. And of course the stateline is right at heavenly ski resort

A mile away from the lake.

Kirkwood our favorite ski resort is 45 min drive.

Great location. Quiet but close to everything.
beware- beds are VERY soft. One is also noisy.

The Larsen Chateau was just wonderful! So charming, cozy and clean, (exactly how it looks in the pictures.) There are a ton of windows, light and bright, and it was beautiful to see the snow fall from the warm fire place living room. Tanya Larsen was extremely responsive with pre-stay questions and requests. The location was perfect for us, in a quaint neighborhood just a few minutes from the hotels, casinos, restaurants and ski lift. I will absolutely book this place again!

Comfortable, cozy, good location

Nice rental, house was as depicted in description and photos. Would definitely recommend to friends and family traveling to Tahoe with group of four. House was clean and in good shape, property manager was very responsive when we called about a minor issue with the heat. Hot tub was great.

Adorable cottage with tons of character at an affordable price!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights over New Years. The cabin was wonderful and exactly like the pictures showed. It was conveniently located for us to do some snowboarding at Heavenly. Tanya was wonderful to deal with when making the reservations. We will definitely be back!

Rented the Chateau for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. My parents said everything was exactly like the pictures and description. They said it was very clean, quite, and close to town and walking trails. They even tried out the hot tub and said it was wonderful. I appreciated the prompt response from the Larsen's anytime I had a question during the rental process. We will tell our friends and family about the home.
