Living room / Den / Kitchen details: The living room / den areas include FLAT screen 50 inch cable TV, DVD, high speed internet, wireless access, PC and a great TV/conversation pit. There are decks off the family room, den, master bedroom and guest bedroom. Wifi high speed internet allows laptop use with internet from the dock or decks !
The kitchen has GE appliances and a full lake view and large new counter top for food prep or eating. Most small kitchen appliances available including toaster, toaster oven, microwave with convection oven, JennAir cooktop, blender, coffeemaker, electric tea kettle.

Waterfront & pet policy : Paddle boat and canoe for guest use. Safety equipment (life preservers) must be worn when using. Guests may use their own boats on rentals of 30 days or more if they are officially inspected and registered by the association.
No lifeguard is on duty at the private beach (Swim at your own risk). Lake of the Pines' new community pool and beach is also available for use. Urgent Care center in shopping center adjacent to the community. Hospital approximately 10 miles away on Bell Road.

Lake of the Pines facilities, environment & rules : Through payment of standard rental fees renters enjoy the same access to Lake of the Pines facilities as do owners. Tranquility Cove is a great place for corporate retreats and family reunions for groups who love the panoramic beauty and tranquility of the location - many big sitting areas to gather and converse and enjoy the scenery and great views. Warm friendly neighbors. This is NOT a place for rowdy 'college' parties.
The community has its own security with controlled gate access - all guests must be registered at the front gate and follow same association rules as owners.
Friends and family of Lake of the Pines members may rent short term. All other rentals must be a minimum of 30 days.
John & Diane live in Los Altos, CA where they raised their three boys. Diane grew up on a lake in Northern Michigan, John on a river front home in Northern Illinois. Both love the peace and relaxation of a lake setting.
Lake of the Pines is one of the last private lake communities to be built in California. Diane & John chose this home because of it's quiet setting the lake's most beautiful cove, and the large lawn and decks for their family and others to gather.

Lake of the Pines is nestled in the foothills of the Sierra mountains at about 1,400 feet elevation which is above the fog line and below the snow line. The area is accessible via Route 80 and is at the North end of California's fabled 'Gold Country' historic recreation and wine growing area. Lake of the Pines is located a few miles off of historic Route 49 between Auburn and Grass Valley, California.

Golf: Renters have same access to Lake of the Pines Golf Course as members (provided via payment of standard rental fees). The 19 hole golf course is a challenging 6140 yards in a beautiful setting and excellently maintained. It offers shots over water, canyons, creeks and bunkers and an elevated 6th tee. It is a truly fun course to play.
Lake of the Pines is located above the fog and below snow level, offering many great days of play through the year.

Overlooking Lake of the Pines is DarkHorse Golf Course (open to public) - one of the finest courses built in Northern California in many years. The course was laid out on what was once a 1,100-acre cattle ranch and features magnificent elevation changes. But there is much more than that for those who truly love golf. Holes were gently placed into the curving valleys on the site; the greens are subtly contoured; the bunkers are strategically placed and offer a variety of different shot making opportunities. Course Designer Keith Foster has crafted 18 unique holes that will leave you anxious to play DarkHorse again.
