Spend your vacation at our charming beach house completely remodeled in 2007. Beautiful Pine Point beach and Maine's famous 7 miles of sandy beach is just a 4 minute leisurely walk from our quiet, family friendly street. Our spacious farmhouse style home is large, bright and tastefully decorated throughout. Our home has stunning hardwood and tile floors with 4 bedrooms, 2 roomy new bathrooms, a large living room, dining room and kitchen with all new appliances. Each bedroom is very roomy and has TV and ceiling fans. Through the French doors of the dining room is a private screened porch with comfortable wicker furniture allowing views of picturesque Scarborough marsh. The new kitchen has a counter island and a separate eating area. All kitchen appliances are new with complete kitchenware and conveniences. Outside the large backyard is perfect for picnics or barbecues with gas grill and plenty of lawn furniture. We have plenty of beach chairs and sand toys for the kids to use!!

Beautiful Pine Point beach is just steps away with views of Prout's Neck, Stratton Island and Shooting Rocks. Pine Point is still an active fishing, lobstering and clamming village. The beach is free of development and no homes are directly on the beach. Restaurants, lobster pounds, fishing pier and a boat launch harbor area are just a short walk away. Pine Point is located 20 minutes from Portland which offers restaurants, shopping in historic Old Port, art museums and a ferry boat to Casco Bay Islands. Scarborough Marsh Nature Center is minutes away and offers canoe rentals, hiking, bird watching and is a favorite of kayakers. Walking and biking trails are free and open to the public in this salt water marsh. Nearby are family amusement parks-Splashtown and Funtown, golf courses, deep sea fishing trips, whale watching and lobstering excursions. Wonderful outlet shopping can be found 30 minutes north in Freeport, home of LL Bean and 30 minutes south in famous Kittery.

My three friends and I spent a most enjoyable week (Sep 6-13, 2008) at this lovely home which is located about two blocks from the ocean. The house is virtually brand new, as are all the appliances, furniture and amenities -- and in spotless condition. The friendly owner greeted us on arrival, gave us tips on where to go and what to see, and was there to say goodbye when we left. Our favorite nearby restaurant, "Rising Tide", serves the best freshly-caught lobster reasonably priced. The town of Old Orchard Beach is about 2 miles from the house.
