People love our home. Less than one mile to downtown Palm Springs, this is a fully furnished, 2BR/2BA, updated, ground floor, corner unit, decorated in an easy, warm decor, with parking very close to the unit and the pool right in front. This comfortable, well equipped home has wonderful views to the landscaping and pool, is a nice 20 minute walk to town, and includes just about everything. And you get it all for a great price (about $72/night total, for a 30 night stay).
Entering the complex you leave all views of streets, cars and parking behind as you walk into a private, tropical oasis created by the four inward facing buildings. This brilliant design creates a uniquely intimate setting that we haven't seen elsewhere in the Palm Springs area. The Oasis feel is completed by the professionally designed landscaping that incorporates eight different varieties of palm trees, perfectly groomed plants and lawns and hundreds of flowers. And this great view comes right into your home. You'll enjoy the pool and garden views from your front patio, living room, AND kitchen. And why drive or walk several blocks to get to that pool or tennis court ... yours are just steps away from our front door. And it's in a great location in Palm Springs - You're only a ten minute drive from the airport (but no airport noise) and just a nice 20 minute walk to the Palm Springs downtown village, with all its shops, great restaurants and night life.
Palm Springs vacations are all about being outside and when you're not enjoying the local attractions you'll love our low walled front patio. With the warm breeze and wonderfully lighted evening garden scene directly in front of you, you'll find yourself sitting here at every chance.
You'll of course have a host of entertainment options with the pool, Jacuzzi spa, tennis court, two HD TV's, DVD player, 2 CD/FM stereos, free telephone (anywhere in the USA, Puerto Rico and Canada) and wireless, high speed internet service. You'll also enjoy a well equipped kitchen with all newer modern appliances, quality cookware and utensils, dishware, a large selection of spices and a full-size refrigerator. There is also a full-size washer & dryer in the unit. Most everything is supplied, right down to your pool towels, hiking gear and tennis rackets (except foods and personal supplies of course).
Rancho El Mirador is a beautiful and small complex (only 61 units!) and arguably has one of the best landscaped grounds in the area. This fully furnished 2BR (1 King, 1 Queen), 2BA ground floor corner unit sleeps 4 and has been completely updated with tiled floors, new paint, new furniture, new appliances, all kitchenware and quality linens. Both bedrooms have a ceiling fan and our long term renters will like seeing the full length closet in each room. The unit also has two patios - one off the living room at the front and one at the rear which is shared by both bedrooms.

We spend our own vacations here too so it's well supplied. We love the weather, the golf, hiking and the local activities and we've found Palm Springs to be a fantastic place to vacation. We used to stay at another unit at this complex for years during our own vacations. After seeing how well it is maintained and its charming, tropical feel and landscaping, we decided to buy a unit of our own here in 2007. Palm Springs is the one place where we find guaranteed warm, sunny weather, without the humidity. It's also nice to fly in and have just a short drive to your home, and be able to take a short 15 minute walk to town!
It may sound funny, but probably the best part of the home is the front patio. We literally eat every meal out there due to the views of the landscaped grounds and swimming pool. The patio has a low wall so that you don't have that boxed in feeling, and just hanging out there is simply enchanting. We love to sit and read the morning paper with a cup of coffee and enjoy the light breeze. We also like the fact that the condo location is very close to downtown Palm Springs, so we almost always walk into town. It's a nice 15 minute stroll so we end up driving a lot less, getting a bit more excercise and you don't have to car pool friends back and forth into town.
Loved the two bedroom two bath unit ... it had everything I wanted. Very comfortable and really liked having two flat screen TVs, sound systems, satellite tv, free long distance to anywhere in North America. While the unit was a bit dark with a north facing patio, the serenity, view and cool place to sit in the hot weather was greatly appreciated. Don was extremely wonderful to deal with and checked to ensure everything was in order or whether I needed something. Couldn't ask for a better landlord. Condo is so close to the downtown core in a lovely area and very walkable to everything (except groceries which were a short drive away). Had a wonderful time for the past three months. We had a great visit to this condo in Palm Springs. Don was very good from the initial contact I had with him. The complex is well kept and the pool area is very nice. There seem to be many permanent residents who's were all very friendly and helpful. The condo itself is a good size and is well equipped with everything you need including pool accessories. We would stay here again.
We (2 couples) completed our recent stay at this condo and found it to be exactly as shown in the photos on the listing. The complex was gorgeous with exceptionally well manicured landscaping making for very relaxing views from the condo. We used the pool and hot tub, both of which were in good condition. Of note, the people in the complex were both very friendly and helpful, adding to our enjoyment of the condo unit. The location was one of the major considerations as it was walking distance to "downtown" which was full of shops and restaurants. We would certainly recommend this unit to anyone looking for that nice oasis in the heart of old Palm Springs. The owner, Don, was very easy to work with and was easy to contact and provided quick responses. We would certainly stay here again.
We know this review is late but it will be worth the wait. We had a lovely time in Palm Springs and this condo was perfect! The location was excellent (easy to walk to downtown, close to the supermarket, golf courses a short drive away). The pictures of the condo are spot-on! We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by the pool or taking a dip in the hot tub after hiking, golfing, playing tennis or whatever activity we chose to do (or not do) that day. The condo complex itself was very quiet and everyone we met was cordial and friendly. A special thank you to Don and Kerry for making sure our stay was enjoyable and we had everything we needed!!
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Don and Kerry's unit at Rancho El Mirador. Very comfortable,and well equipped. Very much as described. Don was very accommodating in all regards and made the whole process just great and very easy. Great location for walking to the shops and restaurants on Palm Canyon, close to the casino on Indian Canyon. Great pool and hot tub virtually steps from the door. We will be back. G&G
My sister, brother in law, husband I stayed 2 weeks in this well appointed condo. This condo has everything you could ever want or need at your finger tips. It was great being right across from the pool (which was not that busy). The onsite manager (Doug) is terrific as well. Cannot say enough good things about the condo and the location. The complex has beautiful gardens and is so well maintained and is like an oasis. The pictures you see are true and exactly the way the unit and complex are.

Just a 20 minute walk north from the center of Palm Springs, this condo is in a nice neighborhood and our own unit sits back from the street as well, thus avoiding street noise. Many movie stars from the 1940-1960's had their vacation homes around the area and we provide a list of names/addresses for you own self guided tour. The local hospital is behind the complex, there is a large grocery store (Albertsons) about 1 mile away and a small convenient store across the street. The large 'Ruth Hardy Park', the Casino/Spa and the Convention Center are all within about 1 mile.
We also have created a custom 'visitor's guide book' that details resturants, local attractions and day trips in the area, as well as information about some 40-50 golf courses within a 45 minute drive.
