This two-story duplex is centrally located on Elizabeth St. around the corner from the Newport Performing Arts Center, has direct access to miles of beach, great views of the Pacific Ocean, and is comfortably and fully furnished with colorful , new bedding and accessories. The Upper Retreat has a large living area with vaulted ceilings and big plate windows facing the ocean, full kitchen and dining area, immense covered deck with both lounge and dining furniture, and comfortable bedrooms. The Lower Retreat has an electric fireplace, large plate windows facing the ocean, large bedrooms, access to the back yard for the dog(s), a full kitchen and dining area, and a barbeque on the front porch. Each unit has full laundry facilities, off-street parking and easy access to all Newport has to offer. Rent one or both, for family getaways, reunions, weddings, a couple's retreat, or group outings. Notes: The Lower Retreat welcomes dogs (2 dog beds provided) and is wheelchair accessible up to 28'. There is also a fenced back yard to control both dogs and children, with access from the downstairs unit. Stairs to the beach are across the street (70). If this is a problem, there are parks at both ends of Elizabeth Street with ramps down to the ocean. As this part of Newport sits on a cliff, the views are excellent and we figure we are more safe from tsunamis than being at ocean level!

Pets: Dogs are allowed in the Lower Retreat only. While we do this for the safety of our canine friends, we also do this for the convenience of our downstairs guests. When fido needs to go out in the middle of the night, the back door leads directly into the yard! We include two dog beds, a pooper scooper, and a couch sheet in the unit.
