Guest Comments: 1) Thank you so much for such a lovely spacious home. We were in Folly Beach for our daughter’s wedding. All of us were able to be together and even have room for the grandbabies too! We loved the fact we could walk to as many places. I think the large porch was our favorite. We had coffee out there in the morning and also ended out day there too. We will have great memories and be back too! 2) We all plan a mother-daughter vacation every year. This is the second year for us to stay in this house. We love it here. Hopefully we’ll be back next year, therefore sharing your beautiful place. 3) Love the beach and love your house. We’ve been coming for 10 years and enjoyed your house the most. When I hit the Lotto, I want to purchase it. (ha ha)

Perfect location !!!

What you see, is what you get, a beautiful penthouse.
It was the perfect place for our small family reunion. 11 of us. Yes there is a lot of stairs to climb but good exercise to work off the great meals you always eat when on vacation. The ocean view was spectacular. Having coffee on the front porch and seeing the dolphins every morning was too cool. Literally a two minute walk to the beach makes this location really nice. The locals working in the near by shops and stores were very friendly, helpful and made us feel welcomed. Besides a couple very minor issues (coffee pot missing filter basket, lamp in loft that didn't work and housekeeping missing a few things) our family decides if we ever vacation in Folly Beach again, this is the place we will call first. A fun time was had by all and memories were made :) Thank you!

Great location---ok rental depending on your need.

I stayed here over the new year holiday and had a pretty decent experience. What they don't tell you about this property is that it is located above 4 other condos. The people staying below us constantly complained that we walked too loudly. We were a bit disappointed about this as we were a large group (about 10-12 people) and could not control the walking noise. The other problem was that it ran out of hot water pretty easily. Only about 2-3 people could shower before the hot water was gone, so if you come with a group of people, make sure you don't all plan to shower in the same time frame. Overall, the home was pretty clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were all fresh and clean. The view was beautiful and we loved the extended size front porch. As far as the location, on the website they said it was 12 minutes to downtown Charleston, but it was actually 20 minutes. Even so, we still thought the location was prime because it was so close to the beach and within walking distance to good restaurants at Folly Beach. I would rent this property again...but only if the properties below it were vacant.
Owner's Response: Our property is 12 minutes from downtown Charleston if you are traveling at a low traffic time. It is 20 minutes in traffic. We have purchased a larger water heater for the property to accommodate more showers. Our property is described as the Penthouse because it is just that, the top two floors of a building with 3 one-bedroom units below. The entrances for the units below are each separate, they have their own stairs, etc. We have addressed the concern about the renter below complaining of footsteps from above. Evidently this was an older woman who wanted to go to bed early on New Year's Eve. In the future, any noise complaints would only be limited to loud partying from our property, not footsteps. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Great Stay

This is a beuatiful Home. The pictures are excatly what you get. The walk to the beachtakes just a minute. We had an easy check in. I will say would go back to this home to stay again. We stayed here because my daughter was getting married. The housewas a perfect place to take pictures. We had plenty of room for everyone to sleep and get ready. There were only a few minor things that I would change or have fixed. The cable TV was really snowy and the pullout couch in the loft was broken. The stairs up to the house were uncovered, I would like to see them have a roof put on them. (it rained all day Fri) We had a great stay and would love to stay here again.
Owner's Response: We're delighted with the great review. There was a loose wire on the T.V. and it has been fixed so that the cable reception is crystal clear. They have order the part to fix the pull-out couch and it should be in any day.

Great beach, great place

This is one of the nicest beaches we have been to. Quiet and quaint, just what a beach vacation should be. The PentHouse was clean and comfortable with lots of open space. It is true to the online pictures. There were a few minor maintenance issues, but nothing that kept us from having a wonderful stay. There are 33 steps into the PentHouse, but it's worth it if you can manage them. Beach access is just across the street - very convenient and a wonderul Pier just a couple blocks away with fishing, a shop and Locklear's restaurant(yummy). Charleston is a short drive of about 20 mins. away with lots of attractions.....historic carriage rides, the market, Bubba Gump's restaurant and Patriots Point were all enjoyed. If possible, would like to visit again.
