Lago di Garda offers summer water sports & winter snow sports...all conveniently located! Built in 2006 this Alpine style villa with 240 degree views of the lake, the Trentino wine valley & Dolomite mountains has every amenity to ensure a wonderful holiday: Lower level w/2 car garage, laundry room w/washer & dryer, 2 large bedrooms each w/a tile patio w/views, one small bedroom, 1 bathroom & Game Room w/foosball table & games. Main level has a large living room with vaulted wood ceilings, travertine floor w/radiant heat & cooling, TV, DVD & CD player, movie, CDs, & built in speakers, inside & outside. The dining room table seats 8 (loads of folding chairs in closet), & the kitchen has cherry cabinets, stone counters, dishwasher, large oven, microwave, refrigerator, pantry, toaster, coffee maker & all cooking, serving utilities for 11 people. There is a half bath on this level. The upper level has cherry wood floors, large Master suite w/balcony w/views, shower, & large tub. 2 additional large bedrooms w/2 balconies, 1 small children's bedroom & 1 bathroom w/shower. About Paul Mees

We built this beautiful villa while living in San Francisco, as our future retirement home and family compound. We celebrate many holidays, vacations and special birthdays here with family and friends. Currently living in The Hague we are now able to enjoy this special place more often.

Why Paul Mees chose Riva del Garda

When we first stood on this property and looked at the magnificent views, there was just a mound of dirt. After 2 years of building the home, and now many years of enjoying the fruits of our labors, we never tire of sitting on our pool deck with a nice glass of excellent wine, and taking in the breath-taking views.

What makes this villa unique

The views are hard to find in a stand alone villa at the north end of Garda Lake. There are many apartments, but land is at a premium due to the majestic mountains surrounding the northend. We have also noticed that all the other villas for sale were quite old and musty smelling, so we opted to build a new home with all the modern conveniences.

This popular lake is the largest lake in Italy. It has been called the Mediterranean of the north, due to the mild climate, food and amazing wines from the area. Riva is an upscale village on the lake offering fabulous shopping, ristorantes, a large lakeside piazza, and ferry service to the other lakeside villages. Varone Falls is close to the home with an amazing waterfall, and numerous castles in nearby Malcesine, Arco and Sirmione. Torbole next to Riva has the most popular beach on the lake, as well as windsurfing lessons and camps. Next to the River Sarca is a bike path which runs from Lago Di Garda, inland to Trento. During the winter there are numerous skiing facilities, and other winter activities. Don't miss the ristorante 'Pie Del Castello' which is walking distance from our home in the village of Cologna, and serves the local specialty, carne salada. Our favorite palce to dine is also walking distance, and offers the same fabulous views, since they are right below our home: Agritur Acetaie, simply fabulous food and wines. Ask for Alessandra as her English is perfect. They also provide tours of the balsamic making plant there.

Cleaning €500

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (Euro) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

  • Rates vary based on the season from 2500 euro-3200 euro a week.
  • Rates vary based on the season from 2400 euro-3200 euro per week. In lieu of a security deposit we require the renter book a $89 insurance policy through Homeaway (underwritten by CSA) which covers us in the event of damaged property. (The link will be sent to you). To complete a booking, we collect a 1500 rental deposit & the 500 euro cleaning fee, which also covers the utilities. If you would like to book a reservation, we send you our rental agreement, with directions for the bank transfer of the deposit & the cleaning fee (credit card payment option through Homeaway is not available for properties outside the US). 90 days prior to arrival we email you a reminder to transfer the remainder of the rental fee. If the reservation is made within 90 days of arrival we collect the entire amount. If booking a rental in the month of August or for more than 2 weeks during any season, we will collect the one week rental fee and the cleaning/utility fee at the time of booking,
  • Rates vary based on the season from 2500 euro-3200 euro a week. The cleaning fee is 500 euro for the home, garden, pool & includes all utility costs. The renter is also responsible to obtain a $89 USD insurance policy through Homeaway to protect the home during their rental week.

    We reserve the right to lower or raise rates by running specials, as necessary to manage our property, and our bookings. Once a reservation is booked the rates are locked in, and will not be changed.

  • The 3 upstairs bedrooms (Master bedroom, 2nd & 3rd bedrooms) 2 have balconies with views of the lake, and cherry hardwood floors. The Master Suite has an internal bathroom with a large bathtub for two, and a stall shower with views. 2nd Bedroom has a Queen bed & 2 balconies. The 2nd bathroom on the upper level has a stall shower and views. The 3rd smaller bedroom has a twin bed, which can fit an adult, but since the room is small it is better suited to a teen or child. The 2 large bedrooms on the lower level have tile floors, and sliding doors leading to a tiled patio with views. Perfect for a morning coffee. We also have a small 3rd bedroom with a double bed-best suited for teens or children as it sits between the hall and the Game Room-and baby crib (which can be used in any bedroom).

Notes:
There is a separate laundry room with washer, dryer, ironing board, iron and drying rack. In addition we have a large clothes line behind the house for drying beach and pool towels. The home has radiant heating and air conditioning in the floors, and two air conditioning units on the main level and upper level. The home is elegantly appointed with art, but the most amazing thing to enjoy when staying at Villa Teggiole is the views which are spectacular during the day and at night. You will also enjoy the sounds of roosters, church bells, many birds, and a neighboring donkey. Enjoy Villa Teggiole.

Just love it!

Dear Paul & Ginny,

This was the 2nd time I spent my spring holiday here and I loved any minute so far! Lake Garda is the perfect place to get my first sunshine of the year. It really nice that the house is up the mountain and the terrace is situated that there is no wind, this makes it perfect for sun tanning and I just love having a beer in the sun! I really enjoyed taking the boot across the lake and enjoying a pizza in one the town there. To be honest...I love having a pizza in every town around Lake Garda haha.
But most of all I miss the sitting on the terrace and looking at the view, especially in the evening when you see all the lights down in the valley. For me it’s really the most relaxing of my holiday!

Perfect family vacation spot

We were lucky enough to book this beautiful house for our kids' spring vacation. The house overlooks the gorgeous Lago di Garda and is a great location for exploring the region. In our week, we went skiing in the Dolomites at the Paganella ski area (1 hour, very modern facilities) and at the local Monte Baldo ski area (mostly tow lifts, but less expensive and still very nice skiing). As well, we visited Verona (1 hour), Venice (2 hours) and Rovereto. We mostly had delicious lunches out everywhere we went and dinner at the house since high quality ingredients are readily available and the house kitchen is incredibly well equipped. The house itself is clean and well maintained and sleeps 10 in comfortable beds, the bathrooms are very nice and there are a selection of amusements available (DVDs, CDs, board games, books, Jeu de boules, etc.) The swimming pool looked nice, although it wasn't really the season for it in Feb. Sliced cured meats (carne de salade) are the regional specialty and great local wines, cheeses, vinegar and olives are plentiful. There is a truly excellent restaurant within walking distance (Acetaia). Even though we weren't there in high season, there was plenty to explore and enjoy and we loved it.
Overall I give the house and location top marks and recommend it highly.

A Small Piece of Paradise!!

Just wanted to thank you & tell you what a great time we had in Riva del Garda at your villa back in September. You have a truly amazing place, a small piece of paradise! It is a perfect set up for a large group of friends. We had many wonderful meals both home cooked & at restaurants surrounding the area.

We enjoyed a couple of days in Venice as well. It is certainly an area we would love to revisit. Thanks so much for a fantastic place to stay.

A Lovely Villa

The villa is large, clean and luxurious, outfitted with all amenities. The kitchen is large and modern. The surrounding views are breathtaking; the villa towers over the scenic town of Ria Garda, where there is a very large shopping area where you could easily spend several days! Nearby restaurants were excellent and plentiful.

From the villa, we took a day trip to Milan. We enjoyed a visit to Venice, where we stayed overnight. There is plenty to do in the Lake Garda area, and I would definitely recommend this villa to my friends and family.

A nice place to be

This Villa is a lovely place to be. Ideal for Family and friends and you like self catering and Privacy away from Hotels and crowds. The scenery and Views are really superb Day and Night. Once you know the Parking in Riva access to the Ferry's is easy on the Lake. You feel safe here and an air of peace and contentment all is well with the World
Thanks to Paul and Ginny we hope to return next Year.
