Wonderful Cabin

This cabin really was a wonderful place. My girlfriend and I went here for a nice weekend getaway and we loved it. it was clean, cozy and had just about any amenities you could ask for. It has a beautiful view from the back that can be seen from just about anywhere in the house. The cabin is private but there are still other cabins around it.

Unfortunately though we had to cut our short. We arrived late at night, around midnight and there had been a small snowstorm during the day. All of the main roads were clear but once we got off the highway and onto the road up to the cabin we had issues. The snow had been packed down and iced over so we weren't able to get our car up the road and had to walk up(about a half mile). It was a rough walk being the conditions and time of night so we were a little angry on the way up and once inside we were terribly exhausted and whiney but we kept saying how happy we were with the cabin. And since we couldn't get the car up we couldn't bring up groceries or anything and snow was supposed to come in again so we played it safe and cut our stay from a long weekend down to just one night.

However if we're ever back in Pigeon Forge this is the first place we'll look. As I said the cabin really was great and Andy was extremely helpful and easy to work with. I definitely recommend it.

Perfect start to 2014!

I had never stayed in a cabin before so when my boyfriend and I started shopping around for a New Year's Eve trip, he wanted two things: a mountain view and hot tub. We got just that and SO much more! Daydreamer was a wonderful cabin! It was clean, updated and perfect for us and our two small dogs. Andy and Jane (the owners) were awesome to work with. They sent us a full guide to the cabin which included an alternate route to take to avoid interstate traffic and enjoy the view. The drive up the mountain is steep but if you take it slow and hold your breath, you'll be fine. There are a few cabins around the area, but you feel so secluded being surrounded by the trees. The drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg was less than 10 minutes away so the location is great! If you have a teenager or 'tween', Daydreamer would be an awesome choice. There is a loft area with it's own bathroom upstairs which allows everyone to have their own sense of privacy. (My suggestion to anyone going to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge: there are a ton of 'touristy' things to do (We did Ripley's Believe It or Not and the Sky-Lift) but enjoy the cabin! Enjoy the time you spend with your loved and don't cram a bunch of busy over the top things to do. Smoky Mountains National Park is right over the way with waterfalls and hiking trails which is something a lot of people don't think of doing. If you don't want a nice meal, I would suggest either the Old Mill in Pigeon Forge or Park Grill in Gatlinburg.) Overall, we loved our stay and we are already talking about when we want to come back! Happy New Year!

Best Vacation Spot!

My family of 5 had an amazing vacation in this cabin. We drove up from Florida and our 3 boys got to see snow for the first time, it was magical! The scenery is beautiful and the cabin is only a 5 minute drive from Pigeon Forge but it is still private enough that you feel like you are in your own part of the woods!
FYI: You might need 4 wheel drive to get to and from the cabin depending on the weather. The ride up the mountain to get to the cabin is a ride to be remembered for sure!

Owner's Response: I really appreciate the comments. The road can be a little intimidating depending on where you're from. For those used to driving on flat land, ex. Florida, it can be intimidating, but for those used to driving hills, it isn't bad. Like almost every mountain road where there's privacy & a view, the road is narrow & steep in places, but not very long. It's also paved all the way (road is paved, but driveway isn't). We had a maintenance man whose brakes & power steering went out going down the mountain & he made it down safely. Not something I'd recommend, but I mention it to illustrate that the road isn't bad for those used to driving hills/mountains. Also 4 wheel drive isn't required since we have had guests in Honda Civic's, Mercedes, etc. who have had no problem with the road. A 4 wheel drive isn't needed if there is snow/ice because it isn't advisable to drive on almost any privately maintained mountain road in those conditions. Just stay in the cabin by the fire & enjoy the snow.

My husband and I spent a few days enjoying fall in the Smokies. This cabin is located just minutes from Pigeon Forge but is very quiet and peaceful. Andy was great to work with and had lots of tips for navigating the traffic in Pigeon Forge. Great place to get away and relax!

My Husband and I spent a week at this cabin while celebrating our 33rd Anniversary. We usually travel to this area once a year from Florida.

We really enjoyed our stay there. You have privacy, yet you are only minutes from town. Definitely one of my favorite locations after many years of choosing cabins online. The master bed downstairs was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The owners are very friendly people and it was a pleasure dealing with them. Very relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
Owner's Response: Such a pleasure to have such nice guests who take the time to provide input. As in any situation/business, we have problems at times & most guests don't hesitate to let us know about problems and while we appreciate knowing about ways we can improve. However, even when guests are pleased with the cabin, they rarely take the time to share their positive/pleasant experiences, so we appreciate it when they do take that time & let us know that they enjoyed their stays.
