The Enchanted Cottage provides the most Luxurious amenities in our homes today blended artfully in a traditional vintage setting. Our living room and separate family room provide space for adults and children to have their own entertaining areas. You will rest peacefully in our comfortable beds with 400-count sheets, feather beds, goose down comforters, and feather/down pillows, decorated tastefully with attractive quilts and duvets.Four Queen Bedrooms plus Two trundle beds (four twins) provide sleeping for 12 comfortably. Our thick spa-quality towels will pamper you after a hot shower/bath and leave you relaxed and ready to further enjoy your cottage experience. Wood floors, lateral knotty pine boards, a wood-burning fireplace, large screened porch with two ceiling fans and seating for 14 allows for rocking, dining, playing games, napping, listening to music with room for your entire group.
For those more active members of your group, the cottage provides both day and nighttime entertainment. Our pontoon boat allows for cruising the waters of Lake Lure, fishing, and swimming! A pump is provided to inflate rafts and other water toys you may wish to bring along.
The top deck of the boat house is equipped with an extra large hammock, two tables, eight chairs, and four Adirondak chairs to provide 'on-the-lake' entertaining opportunities. Multiple decks with rocking chairs and swings allow for everyone to find their special place to 'just be' and enjoy the majestic mountains and lake directly in front of you. There is an outdoor fire pit for roasting marshmallows or enjoying a fire on cool evenings. Two swings on the lower deck rock you gently and reverently while listening to the evening chimes of the local church bells.
The Enchanted Cottage is a Fun house and knows how to entertain the young or young at heart! There will be many memorable picture moments so be sure to pack your camera. If you have golfers in your group there are two courses within ten minutes of the cottage and tennis courts are located in the town of Lake Lure. There is a popular 'beach' located in town that provides lifeguards, a miniature water park, and gorgeous mountain vistas all around you. White-water rafting, river tubing, canoeing and kayaking, and hiking are all within 30 minutes or less of The Cottage.
Our housekeeping service will come in the day of your departure to clean the cottage, take inventory of all items, and confirm working order of the boat and other pertinent features to ensure that your deposit is returned to you within 10-15 business days of your departure. Any items of discussion will be addressed to you within two days of your departure to ensure prompt resolution of any discrepancies.
