Comfortable ranch on outskirts of Lenox, Mass. Fully furnished, with full-size kitchen, two upstairs bedrooms and study, family room with futons downstairs. Beautiful hardwood floors, separate entrance downstairs, one car garage, good sized back yard, small deck. 4 1/2 mi. from Tanglewood, close to summer theaters and dance festival. Three ski areas nearby, Jiminy Peak 30 mins. away. State parks, mountains, lakes all within easy reach. Hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, nature preserves. Interesting shops and many excellent restaurants in area: Lenox, Lee, Gt. Barrington and Pittsfield.

Nearest Airport: Bradley (Hartford/Springfield) or Albany, NY at 60 Miles
Nearest Train: Springfield, MA at 40 Miles
Nearest Motorway: Mass Pike, Lee exit (exit 2) at 10 Miles

Parallel to route 7 heading north towards Pittsfield, the house is close to many ski areas as well as to summer cultural centers such as Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow (dance), Berkshire Theater Festival, Pittsfield opera, etc. Several lakes dot the region, some with boat rentals. The mountains invite hiking, birding, and biking as well as beautiful autumn views during the fall foliage season. Lenox, Pittsfield, Great Barrington, and Stockbridge offer excellent restaurants as well as antique shops, crafts, shopping and even a local brewery. Art galleries and the Pittsfield Museum offer stimulation year-round. Spas and a yoga center are also found in the area.

Notes: Most rooms are on the main floor (ranch style house), so it should be suitable for elderly except that washer-dryer are downstairs in garage. Should be fairly allergen-free also; all mattresses brand new, for example. Longish rentals would be considered between October and May; shorter ones during the summer. Owner hopes to use house occasionally.
