Boating: Michigan is known for its boating season. The lakes in Cheboygan are beautiful. If you have your own boat and it's big enough to handle the Great Lakes you can launch it right in the sub. If you have a smaller boat there is plenty of access downtown Cheboygan onto the Cheboygan River. This slow, no wake river will take you to Mullet Lake, a large lake with shallows that allow you to anchor your boat and swim or picnic. If you don't have your own boat rentals are available at several of the marinas.
Snowmobiling: If you love the snow northern Michigan is a great place to go. Leave right from our driveway and snowmobile to State manicured trails that will take you for miles. These trails are also great in the summer and fall for ATVS. You can snowmobile all the way to Mackinaw City!
Beach fun: The beaches in this sub are great. There are lots of sand and very few people. The access beaches are for the sub only. The water is pretty shallow for a long way out so it's great for kids.
