Red Creek Cottage is an immaculate and cozy 3-BR, 2-story cottage on the western shore of Seneca Lake, 13 mi. north of Watkins Glen and 22 mi. south of Geneva. With over 200 ft of lake frontage, a stream with a drawbridge, and a couple acres of woods behind us, our cottage is the perfect retreat where you can feel surrounded by nature and truly relax with family and friends. The cottage lies 50 ft from the shore and is level with lake, with a large, sunny yard, a large shale beach, outdoor dining table w/ umbrella, large picnic table, lounge chairs, gas grill, fire pit, two canoes, fishing gear, life jackets, badminton, volleyball, croquet, swing, etc. Authentic pine paneling, wall of sliding picture windows across the front, a full kitchen w/ service for 8 & baby equipment.
About Seneca Lake: The second deepest lake east of the Mississippi as measured by its depth below sea level, Seneca is over 600 feet deep and three miles across in front of our cottage. At 38 miles long, it is the second longest of the Finger Lakes in Upstate New York, perfect for power-boating, fishing, sailing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sailboarding, and other water sports.
We do not have a dock or boat lift at the moment, but you may launch your powerboard or sailboat at several marinas within a ten- or fifteen-minute drive. (See 'Area Attractions' for more information.)
Information for Parents: As parents ourselves, we know what you need to feel comfortable on vacation. Red Creek Cottage comes with lots of amenities for parents of children of all ages, including:

Red Creek Cottage is located in Yates County, a picturesque, rural area of farms, vineyards and quiet country roads. It is 13 miles north of Watkins Glen, where you may enjoy the waterfalls, hiking path, laser show and pool at Watkins Glen State Park, boat cruises with Captain Bill's Seneca Lake Cruises and the Malabar X, the Watkins Glen International Raceway, the Watkins Glen Golf Course, and a variety of restaurants. 15 vineyards lie on the western shore of the lake--9 within 8 miles of the cottage. There are also fishing tours, public boat launches nearby, hiking trails including the nearby Keuka Outlet Trail, Catherine Valley Trail, the Fingerlakes National Forest, and the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge. Other towns within 30-40 minutes include Penn Yan, Geneva, Canandaigua, Ithaca, Corning, and Elmira.
