Newly Constructed Designer Home , Best Beach Location, Hummer Golf Cart

We love Sea Sounds! After going to the same beach for 9 years we decided to venture to another location. Fripp Island was new to us and we enjoyed it so much! The house is beautiful. We felt like we were "home".

Had a great time and everything was just as it was described. The home was beautiful and well taken care of. Had a great time on the Hummer golf cart. The beach access is almost right across the street and this end of the island is not near as busy as the other end. At times we felt like we had almost had the whole beach to ourselves. Peter and Donna were very helpful, answered all our questions and even checked in to make sure everything was as expected.

We just finished out second year at SeaSounds and it is like a home away from home. Perfect size, lovely furnishing, spotless when you walk in. The kitchen is large and easy for tag team cooking- my kids and I love to cook together. The location, 1 house in from the beach, with the back porch looking out over the golf course, has to be the best on the island. You walk 3 minutes to the best beach on the island, or hop onto the Hummer (which is so wonderful to tool around and have the teenage boys make comments on how cool it is) and visit another beach access or one of the three pools. You will never want to leave- we don't!
It has made the perfect family vacation site for us. Our kids have all left home, so every summer we try to vacation together. For older kids and parents looking for family time and complete relaxation, this is perfect. They can hang with us, take the bikes or the Hummer and go off together, watch movies, cook, do nothing. Lots of outdoor space to sit, watch the wildlife, read, or just relax.
The beaches on Fripp are wonderful, as are the pools. We do not especially like the on island restaurants, but within 30 minutes there are a number of excellent restaurants, from completely casual, to very fancy. We usually just plan 3-4 days of meals, hit the grocery store for the main stuff, Gay's Fish for shrimp and fish, then head on in to the house and stay put until supplies run out. Then we plan one night out and pick up groceries for the rest of the week then. And at least one lunch run to the Shrimp Shack.
Beaufort is a lovely town, good for a day trip. Of if you want to venture farther, we have gone to Charleston, which is amazing.
The house is even BETTER than the pictures and the DeLuca's are wonderful hosts. The kitchen is well supplied with what you need, the grill is a good size. The bedrooms are a good size, the beds comfortable. Six adults were never on top of each other or in each other's way. They have to pry me out at the end of our week. I would recommend this house to anyone. Just don't take our week!
