Kick off your shoes and prepare to retreat to your own personal sanctuary for a relaxing and memorable experience.
Dreamwold House is surrounded by trees on a large yard next to woods. This property allows for privacy, deer and bird watching, and best of all memory making.
The house is pure comfort. The living room has warm wooden floors, arched doorways, a comfortable sofa , wing back chairs and a leather lounger. A Regency gas fireplace warms the soul. There is a first-floor bedroom with wooden floor, a four-poster full-size mahogany bed, a writing table, reading chair, and a highboy.
On the second floor, there is a queen-size bed (with pillowtop mattress in bedroom two) that affords a lush wooded view, and two twins in bedroom three. Both bedrooms have plush carpeting. There are two modern baths both with a tub, shower, and a tubular skylight.
Beautiful large modern kitchen with vaulted ceiling is fully equipped for cooking and dining. A full basement has a washer/dryer for your laundry needs.
The12x26 screened and carpeted porch with beamed ceiling allows you to enjoy day or night porch dining in comfort. Read your favorite summer book or rock your cares away in rocking chairs to the sound of chirping birds or the night frogs croaking.
Walk just 10 minutes along winding wooded roads to experience our beaches and dunescapes on beautiful Lake Michigan. We have bikes, wagons, beach toys in the garage. Children love the wagon ride to the beach.
Dreamwold House is next door to Birchwood Cabin ( #373408) it's sister property located in the woods. Families rent both properties to accommodate extended family/friends.
Come on over for memory making year round!
Thank you so much for providing such a warm and cozy environment to enjoy a weekend of family and friends. Your cottage was perfect to celebrate a bridal shower and create many wonderful memories. We enjoyed the amazing fall weather, beautiful views, and trips to the beach and dunes. Thanks again for a weekend of laughter, love and family. Many blessings to you!
Dreamwold House is incredibly cozy and comfortable. We used every bit of the property - coffee on the patio, games & meals on the porch, visiting in the kitchen, and relaxing in the living room.
There is plenty of sleeping room for six adults, and Mariya and Ian keep the place sparkling and inviting with lovely decor throughout. The beach themes in the bedrooms provide an extra coziness with four poster beds and antique furnishings throughout the house.
The short walk to the beach was a great opportunity to see the deer and the lovely wooded properties of Michiana Shores. The private beach was extremely peaceful and quiet both during the day and at sunset each evening.
The owners live close by and have truly thought of everything - from beach chairs to toys, to bicycle of all sizes.
I highly recommend this property for adults, families with kids, or for a romantic getaway. Dreamwold House has it all!
We stayed with our children and grandchildren for two nights at the end of September. We loved staying at the house. Mariya and Ian have a great location; it's secluded, quiet, yet only a small walk to the beach. Having the wagon with sand toys was a great plus for the grandkids. My husband and I loved being so close to the beach road where we could bike into New Buffalo. The house is cozy, well-furnished, and has everything you would want. The screened in porch is wonderful! Mariya is very accomodating and we look forward to our next visit!
Our family stayed at the Dreamwold cottage for a week and it was wonderful. The house was perfect and clean. The pictures are very accurate. The beds are super comfy and we LOVED the screen-in porch. The house is fully equipped with the kitchen necessities. Mariya and Ian are very hospitable and we enjoying meeting them. Our kids loved using the wagons. We enjoyed walking to the beach and park with our two young kids. It was incredible to see the deer up close and personal. The horse stable is close by and our kids enjoyed taking pony rides there. The Stop 50 pizza restaurant is good and very kid friendly. Nearby on 1000 North are two blueberry picking places. It was a fun activity to do with the family. We felt very at home at the cottage and we highly recommend families who have young children to stay here.
Rented this home to celebrate my 60th birthday . It was a great weekend to be with my 3 lifelong friends that joined me . The area is beautiful with the fall colors at their peak. Did not get to enjoy the outdoors as much as I would have liked to because of the weather, but if the weather was better would have spent some time walking on the beach.
This was our second trip back to the Dreamwold home... and there will be many more! This home is located in a QUIET wooded area, with large trees and lots of deer. Our children loved the daily walks to the beach and nearby park. Stop 50 Wood Fired Pizza is also a 10 minute walk and a must-do! We also made frequent short drives to New Buffalo for dinner, and a day trip to the Indiana Dunes was only a 15 minute drive. Also a great outlet mall just 10 minutes away in Michigan City. The home is clean, perfectly equipped for small children, has COMFORTABLE beds and furniture, and the screened porch is second to none. The owners live nearby and are so friendly and accommodating.
We had the pleasure of staying for 4 days and 3 nights in August. We were most impressed with how clean the house was. It is exactly what you see in the pictures, except spotlessly clean. Maryia and Ian have thought of every detail to make your stay comfortable. The house is set up for families with young children. They have gates on all the stairs, a high chair, sand toys, legos, wagons; blow up tubes, bikes, and even a child step stool and potty seat. It was as if they knew exactly what we needed for our kids. Next time, we can pack lighter knowing that they have everything we need!
The private beach at stop 39 was very peaceful. We visited the beaches at Warren Dunes, New Buffalo, and Beverly Shoes and the Michiana Beach at stop 49 was our favorite. It was a short walk and almost completely private. I would recommend water shoes for the little ones. The sand is VERY hot and it is a bit rocky when you enter the water. But the water was the cleanest out of all the beaches we visited. You can see fish swimming by you and all the way to the bottom.
The kids loved seeing the deer come right into the yard and eat corn that Mariya would leave out for them. The deer visited every day and were spotted several times walking down the street with their babies too.
We would definitely return to Dreamwold again.
