We Will Return

Arrived late in the evening and when the doors opened to the house/courtyard it was a delight after a long, long day of traveling. The lights were on and Miguel was there to greet us. It was lovely....and the pot of soup in the refrigerator was very much appreciated.
The house is everything we had hoped for and we settled in very quickly to a relaxed lifestyle. The courtyard was a joy and we probably spent 80% of our waking 'at home' hours there., There is nothing glitzy about this house, but a warmth and charm of a colonial style adobe that is most inviting.
Malena was always willing to help us and was eager to cook and serve us breakfast. I believe she was feeling bad because we are not big breakfast eaters, and my husband had a slight flu bug while there, so eating wasn't at the top of our priorities. She loves to make eggs Mexican style...delicious.
San Miguel is a delight to visit and during the two weeks we made the city our home we didn't begin to see or experience what there is to do. However, we did find that the area is well worth the visit and we are already trying to work up a date to return...to San Miguel and especially to Casa Feliz.
We thank Cory for her hospitality...and look forward to not only another stay in her home, but of course another visit over a cup of coffee (Cafe Monet).
