In one of Aruba’s finest residential areas, Malmok, you will find this lovely oceanfront villa: Aruba-sur-Mer.
The villa was recently completely renovated and beautifully refurnished. Besides being able to enjoy the spectacular ocean view and sunset from the beautifully manicured front porch and garden with its secluded corners, also enjoy swimming in the private pool surrounded by tall palm trees. Or take long afternoon naps in the Caribbean breeze under the palapa hut. Aruba’s famous Palm and Eagle Beaches are a few minutes away from the villa and the ocean out front is ideal for both swimming and snorkeling. Only half a mile away you will find (para)sailing, diving, wind/ kitesurfing and water skiing and yoga on paddle boards. Supermarkets, restaurants, casinos and shopping malls are also only a few minutes down the road. Offering all the amenities and comforts of home, Aruba-sur-Mer is ideal for the perfect, care free Caribbean holiday!
Just returned from a family vacation in Aruba. We treated our children and grandchildren for a week celebration of our 40th anniversary. Our trip was awesome but what was #1 was this villa. It was comfortable for 6 adults and 2 kids. Each had their own bedroom & bath. The villa was equipped with all the amenities that we needed and then some. The pool was our afternoon delight but there was many nights also sitting out on the front watching the sunset and completely relaxing. The management was very accommodating and even suggested a chef which we hired. AWESOME! We were very pleased and would certainly recommend this to anyone not wanting to be in the heart of the city. It is a quiet location yet within walking distance to the high-rise area. We all loved it.
This villa comfortably accommodated our group of 7 adults. The villa has everything you need away from home. The kitchen was well equipped with modern appliances. The front porch is the perfect place to sit around and relax and just watch all the action on the water. You will see people riding horses or segways on the beach right in front of the villa. You get a great view of the sunsets too. You can't snorkel right in front of the villa but the snorkeling beaches are just a few minutes drive. The backyard pool is gigantic. You see all kinds of lizards and iguanas running around the place. Beware of coconuts falling off the trees. The villa is very nicely landscaped. The villa manager, Anneke, was very helpful both before our trip and while in Aruba. As with any place you rent in Aruba, you will need a vehicle to get around the island. I would definitely recommend this villa for your stay in Aruba.
Our family of 5 stayed here over the Christmas holidays. It is a lovely well kept home with an open concept that make it ideal for spending time together. We all enjoyed mornings and evenings on the front patio with the beautiful view. With four bedrooms and three baths, everyone had their own space as well. Having a full kitchen and washer/dryer were a definite bonus. The location is ideal. It is a few minutes drive to restaurants and shopping, but so much quieter and more private than the hotel beaches. There is a wonderful snorkeling cove just a ten minute walk up the coast. The beach path makes for safe and lovely walks. I highly recommend the Aruba Sur Mer.
We spent 10 days at this amazing home this past December of 2010. It was our 5th time to Aruba and this was our first time at this house, it was so much nicer than the home we rented previously. The house manager, Anneke Gorter, is FABULOUS - she has helped us to find the perfect villas to rent while in Aruba and we will definitely be returning to this house. My husband and I went along with my Aunt - we had plenty of privacy because of the separate guest house with king bed & full bath. The pool was HUGE, really great for swimming laps. You have a view of the ocean from almost everywhere in the house - the master bedroom, family room, kitchen, guest house and you can even see it while you are in the backyard pool - you look through the house right to the ocean - AMAZING. The kitchen was great, TV's in each bedroom, CD/MP3 player in each bedroom & a stereo in the family room. With the beach just across the street, its less than a minute walk. There were beach lounge chairs and it was amazing to just walk across the street, set up the chairs and read on the VERY private beach, with the amazing breeze and watch the sunset. Loved the location close to the high rise hotels - restaurants & shopping. Best food was at Chris Ruth's Steakhouse (though expensive), Iguana Joes in town is GREAT - good food, good drinks, fun atmosphere and inexpensive. A rental car is a must if you want freedom but there is a bus stop literally across the street that will take you anywhere you want to go. The house is VERY easy to find, we used the Windmill for a marker to spot it easily when coming home late at night. We had a fabulous time and would highly recommend Aruba for vacation and the Aruba Sur Mer for your stay. The house would have easily accommodated another 2 couples, there were two extra bedrooms we did not use - one with a king bed and another with two twins - they share another full bath. It would also be a great place for a romantic getaway for 2, having your own house and pool is really fantastic. The house also has a security system and safe. I almost forgot - we saw cute little lizards, big iguanas, parrots and all kinds of wildlife everyday around the house and pool - did I mention the beds were comfortable?
