We spent 10 days at this amazing home this past December of 2010. It was our 5th time to Aruba and this was our first time at this house, it was so much nicer than the home we rented previously. The house manager, Anneke Gorter, is FABULOUS - she has helped us to find the perfect villas to rent while in Aruba and we will definitely be returning to this house. My husband and I went along with my Aunt - we had plenty of privacy because of the separate guest house with king bed & full bath. The pool was HUGE, really great for swimming laps. You have a view of the ocean from almost everywhere in the house - the master bedroom, family room, kitchen, guest house and you can even see it while you are in the backyard pool - you look through the house right to the ocean - AMAZING. The kitchen was great, TV's in each bedroom, CD/MP3 player in each bedroom & a stereo in the family room. With the beach just across the street, its less than a minute walk. There were beach lounge chairs and it was amazing to just walk across the street, set up the chairs and read on the VERY private beach, with the amazing breeze and watch the sunset. Loved the location close to the high rise hotels - restaurants & shopping. Best food was at Chris Ruth's Steakhouse (though expensive), Iguana Joes in town is GREAT - good food, good drinks, fun atmosphere and inexpensive. A rental car is a must if you want freedom but there is a bus stop literally across the street that will take you anywhere you want to go. The house is VERY easy to find, we used the Windmill for a marker to spot it easily when coming home late at night. We had a fabulous time and would highly recommend Aruba for vacation and the Aruba Sur Mer for your stay. The house would have easily accommodated another 2 couples, there were two extra bedrooms we did not use - one with a king bed and another with two twins - they share another full bath. It would also be a great place for a romantic getaway for 2, having your own house and pool is really fantastic. The house also has a security system and safe. I almost forgot - we saw cute little lizards, big iguanas, parrots and all kinds of wildlife everyday around the house and pool - did I mention the beds were comfortable?
