This upstairs apartment is located on a cliff in Westpunt at the end of the island away from the city, it's lights, and casinos. The diving & snorkeling here are superb. We have ocean kayaks, mountain bikes, snorkel gear and can supply air tanks. Some of the best beaches & dive sites in the Caribbean are within a 5 to 10 minute drive away as well as Christoffel National Park and Boc Tabla. Enjoy the sunset every night and then a countless number of stars in the sky as well as over 40 out of 160 species of birds. Come stay with us and enjoy all the conveniences and amenities of our 3 bedroom apartment for less than the price of the higher priced hotels' single units. Here you have the option of eating in, dining with us, or visiting one of the many dining establishments on the island. Come visit the island of Curacao and all it's wonders. We have great diving, snorkeling, and kayaking from the beach right behind the house. There is a full service dive shop just a short walk down the road if you prefer boat dives. However, most of the dive locations can be reached from shore. Kayak along the coast to Playas Forti, Knip, Jeremi, Lagun and beyond. We are located out in the country. There is not much out here but rolling green hills and an azure blue sea. Enjoy the sunset every night and then an abundance of stars without any city lights to diminish their brightness. Hike or bike around the west end of the island to Boca Tabla or explore the trails at Mt. Christoffel or Hopi Pastor where you'll find an 800 year old Kapok tree. Visit the Hato Caves, the Curacao Liquor distilery, or an aloe or ostrich farm. Your choices are endless. Curacao has always been known as a honeymoon destination. Now more and more people have begun to realize that it is a perfect island getaway.

We have kayaks, snorkel gear, bikes, a rinse tank, and dive lockers. We will be glad to escort you on any excursions including superb shore diving and challenging mountain bike rides. Christoffel National Park as well as some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean are less than a 10 minute drive away. The capital of Willemstad is a 40 minute drive away with excellent shopping, restaurants, colorful Dutch buildings, the moving Emma pontoon bridge, and casinos galore. There is something for everyone on Curacao from golf to swimming with the dolphins. We have recently left our friends, family, & businesses behind in the states to relocate to the Caribbean and become a part of a growing diverse island culture. Come visit and you'll understand why we chose Curacao.

Our upstairs apartment is furnished with high quality American bedding and linens with a view of both the ocean and the mountains. We are serving lunch and dinner on the terrace on Friday, Saturday & Sunday but can assist you with meals during the week if desired. We look forward to making your stay with us an enjoyable one. The west end of the island is known as Banda Bou to the locals. They consider it to be the country part of the island. Many people from Willemstad have weekend homes where they come to enjoy the peace, quiet and beauty of the surroundings. We are fortunate to have our home and apartment here, close by beautiful beaches and Mt. Christoffel. There are endless opportunities for things to do and places to see. It's also a great place to kick back, relax, and basically do nothing. On Sundays there is a morning market in the nearby town of Barber where we can buy fresh meat, produce, and baked goods. Nightly there is a local bread delivery that will stop in front of the house, so it's always possible to savor a raisin or coconut sticky bun with coffee while watching the fishing boats leave the bay in the morning. We are now serving lunch and dinner on the terrace Fri. through Sun. We love our life here and hope you'll join us.

Notes: This apartment is quite spacious with 1,800 square feet of living area & views of the mountains & the ocean, fishing boats and sunsets. We consider our apartment to be an extension of our house. We have furnished the kitchen with a variety of different glasses including martini and champagne as well as plates, silverware, and utensils. You will have access to the gas grill and if you need anything that is not stocked upstairs there is an excellent chance that we will have it downstairs for you to use. We have moved everything here from the states so the apartment is more personally furnished and decorated than an average rental unit. There are books, CDs, games, and toys. We have purchased new mattresses, pillows, linens and towels for your pleasure. We feel that you will feel very comfortable staying here. We have begun to serve lunch and dinner on the terrace on the weekends. David has cleared a few miles of technical MTB trails at the end of the island & is offering guided tours.

A Great Choice

This place is a real gem. It's the top floor of a house with a fantastic view of the ocean. The beds are nice, there's ample storage space, and there's plenty of room to lounge around.

The owners, Sunshine and David, couldn't be nicer. They have recommendations to all of the good local restaurants, beaches, and food stores. And they run a top-notch restaurant themselves that's open weekends for lunch and dinner.

Perhaps the best thing about this apartment is its location. It's within a ten minute drive of the island's finest beaches, that feature great snorkeling and diving.

If you want nightlife, stay somewhere else. There's nothing to do in this part of the island except swim, dive, hike, eat, lay around, and sleep. What more could you want?

David and Sunshine have a wonderful apartment overlooking the ocean and could not be more helpful or accommodating hosts. The apartment makes for an enjoyable place to relax after a spending a day in the sun. They have a wide selection of snorkeling gear, kayaks, guidebooks, coolers, and other things for fun stay. We spent a great week going for hikes that started out the front door or within a twenty-minute drive and ended with us watching the sun set over the ocean from its back porch.

David and Sunshine were VERY accommodating! They let us use their mountain bikes and kayaks and even took us on a few amazing dives right by the apartment. We saw the whole Island and Westpunt was by far the most spectacular part of the Island, had the best beaches and diving, and within close proximity to several of the islands attractions.
