Seabrook Island has over three miles of uncrowded pristine beach. It is not unusual to see dolphins playing near the shore. Enjoy walks or bicycling in the shade of tropical palm trees and windswept twisted live oaks adorned with Spanish moss. Birdwatchers will enjoy the sights and sounds of the various birds including pileated wood-peckers and bald eagles, but the wild life does not stop there. In the dew of the early morning and as the sun goes down, you may often see a family of deer in the nearby lush forests. If you look carefully you may even spot an alligator sunbathing on the banks of the many ponds.
Take a day trip to historic Charleston and enjoy a fun and educational carriage tour or enjoy many other nearby historic places such at the campus of The Citadel, Fort Sumter, and The Yorktown Battleship. Shopping in Charleston is an experience not to be missed, and when the sun sets, take in a fabulous meal in one of Charleston's famous restaurants.
