The Azalea cottage is upscale and sophisticated. It was designed for couples, particularly those looking for a place to relax and rejuvenate. The cottage can comfortably accommodate six in three bedrooms--one king, one queen, two twin beds. Fully equipped gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. Great room with fireplace, designer furnishings and art Luxurious linens, pillow-top mattresses and down-filled pillows and comforters Master bath with dual lavatories and glass-enclosed walk-in shower. Guest bath with dual lavatories and glass-enclosed tub. In-house washer and dryer with laundry supplies Flat screen TV, cable, wireless Internet connection, DVD player Not suitable for children. No pets, no smoking anywhere on premises. The Azalea is located at The Gardens, a two cottage property. See Listing 163050 for the Lily, a smaller cottage.

This property is located one block from Lake Michigan in the Village of Douglas, just across the bridge from its better known neighbor, Saugatuck. There is easy access to the beach through a public park that includes restrooms. The beach is wide and sandy; one can walk miles in either direction along the waters edge. Douglas has some of the best restaurants in the area; boutique shops and art galleries. Saugatuck, one and a half miles away, also offers fine and casual dining, shopping, theatre, art galleries.

The Azalea cottage is absolutely wonderful! The accomodations are first-class, and the location is perfect - just steps from the beach. Karen has done a phenomenal job in creating an upscale place to relax and enjoy. We wish we could've stayed longer, and can't wait to come back!

The Gardens

This is a beautiful place to stay. The cottage and accomodations are first class and the gardens are beautiful. There were 6 of us staying Friday - Sunday and we wanted to move in for the summer! It is also a great location. You can walk to Douglas Beach and you are just minutes away from downtown Douglas and Saugatuck by car. We are planning a return trip next year!
