Location:
The home is located conveniently between Somerset and Monticello just off KY 90 & Route 1275. Close to the Mill Springs area. Nearby is historic Dunagan's store (now an Antique Mall), Mill Springs Park with 13 springs that provide the water to turn the Mill's 40ft overshot water wheel (largest in the world) to grind corn, two historic houses that featured in the Civil War that can be toured along with touring the mill. You can visit mill by water or by car.
Lake View:
The home has 3 baths which is very convenient. The view is beautiful from any location in the house. The lake along with the beautiful woods in the surrounding area gives a very peaceful setting. Great Room has cathedral ceilings with a view of the lake. Covered Screened Porch with porch swing is perfect for relaxing, or if just playing cards and enjoying the view! Master Bedroom has sliding doors to screen porch and the view is spectacular.
Near Conley Bottom Resort Dock:
Our home is located just five miles from Conley Bottom Resort Dock by land, where there is an easy access boat ramp, boat rentals and docking. It is about 30-40 minutes by water to either Lake Cumberland State Park Restaurant or the Harbor Restaurant up Fishing Creek. Nearby also is Monticello's highly rated museum. A city park has tennis, horseshoes, picnic shelters, baseball diamonds and walking path. Several golf courses are nearby, such as at Monticello Country Club, Woodsen Bend Resort, Burnside State Park, Somerset Country Club. Cumberland Falls State Resort Park is less than 40 minutes away. Many, Many hiking trails in state parks and in the Big South Fork National Recreation Area just south of Burnside and the Daniel Boone National Forest. Somerset has a miniature golf course, a water park, YMCA (with three pools, two indoor), indoor recreation building (as does Monticello). For convenience there is nearby shopping in Monticello or Somerset.
