Four spacious self catering apartments set in a old Tuscan Farm of 1878, completely restored are introduced by a long, cypress-lined drive. The property is located in the area of Montepulciano; a lovely village known as The pearl of the 16th century because of its several architectural features dating back to renaissance time, and for its wine Nobile di Montepulciano that is famous all over the world. On the ground floor of the main building there are n. 3 apartments for 2 people each: GLICINE - ROSE - EDERA and n. 1 apartment for 4 people GIRASOLE. They are completely hand-decorated and embellished by trompe l'oeil by the owner, to offer the guests a refined, cosy and exclusive atmosphere. 'Le Manzinaie' is also provided with a parking area, an open pool, a large garden, barbecue, gazebo. All around there are wonderful hill and medieval villages to explore, in fact Le Manzinaie is a wonderful base for exploring Southern Tuscany and Umbria.

The apartment for 4 people is called Girasole and it has an independent entrance on ground floor. It is composed of a fully equipped kitchen (which includes a fridge, microwave oven, American style coffee machine and toaster), dinning room with ceiling fan and sofa, one bedroom with double bed and ceiling fan. One big bathroom with Jacuzzi Hydro massage tub, separate shower and hair dryer. One other bedroom with double bed (or twin beds upon request) with ceiling fan; with its bathroom with shower and hair dryer. The apartment is provided with: satellite TV (CNN,EURO SPORT etc), safe, Wireless Internet connection, independent heating. All windows have mosquito screens.

  • CANCELLATION POLICY: In the unfortunate event you need to cancel all or part of your holiday we will have to charge either:
    a) deposit only - if the cancellation is received more than 30 days prior to arrival, or
    b) deposit + an additional 50% of the balance - if the cancellation is received between 29 days and 14 days prior to arrival, or
    c) total rent - if the cancellation is received less than 13 days prior to arrival or in case of NO SHOW (any communication of cancellation and not presentation of the customer for the holiday).

We have had a fantastic holiday in Le Manzinaie. The family were lovely, the accommodation was just wonderful - we have recommended it already to our friends and family. I would recommend a stay here and hope to return in the future. The website is fantastic so user friendly and from our experience in Italy we would use it again to find a holiday home/accommodation.

I had a lovely, restful and restorative time at Le Manzinaie. I traveled alone on this occasion as I needed some quiet and relaxation, and Alice and her family made me feel very welcome. They are delightful hosts, and it was a lovely area to explore. I recommend this holiday most warmly as a happy place where you can take time for yourself without feeling lonely.

Beautiful Tuscany

We travel the world extensively, but this place is something else... Very private, secure and peaceful. Very well equipped with everything you could possible want. There is nothing negative that we could possibly say. An excellent location to explore San Gimignarno, Voltara, Assisi, Sienna, Montepulciono. Foire, Alice & Mazia are very welcoming and brilliant hosts. Their weekly dinner parties are something else (expect a sore head the following day!). Not to mention their Tuscan cookery classes and Fiore's home grown produce. Excellent!

This apartment had two spacious bedrooms, two well presented bathrooms and a livingroom with settee, table & chairs and an adequate kitchen area, which met our needs perfectly. The whole farm was very well presented giving each apartment their own individual outside area or well appointed communal areas. The Family are excellent hosts promoting a welcoming, friendly, helpful, relaxing and informative atmosphere. All in all an excellent holiday with many happy memories. I would recommend this setting to people who enjoy exploring the countryside, who need a relaxing holiday away from it all and like nature, history, scenery and wine.

My husband and I recently returned from a wonderful week at the Podere Le Manzinaie Holiday House in Tuscany. It had been recommended to us by two different couples who had stayed there before. When we return, which we definitely will, we'd like to stay for two weeks. It is perfectly situated in the country- so peaceful and beautiful. We came from Rome and Florence and it was great to get away from the crowds. The area is picturesque, hilly fields of sunflowers, grapevines, and olive groves. It's a short drive from the villa to the charming hill town of Montepulciano. Each day we drove to a different hill town- Sienna, Assissi, Montalcino, Cortona, Pienza,... The family (Fiore, Marzia, and Alice) couldn't be friendlier! They live on the grounds so they are readily available to help with anything we needed- help with planning our itinerary, restaurant recommendations, offers of cappucino and wine,... We stayed in a cottage on the grounds. It was spotless and so tastefully decorated. Marzia is very artisitic. Even In July, the villa was so comfortable- the mornings and evenings were nice and cool. There's a large beautiful pool, many flowers, and a large vegetable garden we were encouraged to harvest from. Our favorite night is when they invited all of the guests for a lively, tasty Italian dinner. Be forewarned-the grappa Fiore offers you can be dangerous! We enjoyed getting to know the other guests. They were the perfect hosts- so warm and friendly. Communication was easy since their English was much better than our Italian! We can't wait to return.

A Home away from Home

We had a wondeful stay at the Podere Le Manzianie in May 2007. The hosts were so gracious, the accomadations were very very comfortable. If we were missing something or had any questions Alice was there the next minute at our door to explain it. We stayed in 2BR apartment and it was very convenient with all the modern features.

Alice provided us with a map of the area and a sample itinerary once we arrived, helped us in picking places to visit etc. Our second day, they invited over for dinner with the other guests. We had a wonderful time and Fiore had coooked an amazing meal.

We had visited the hilltowns around montepulciano while we were there and left for florence after a few days. We did not want to leave for florence but wanted to stay over at Le Manzinaie for the reminder of our stay.

Would definitely go back there again, may be next year and would not stay at any other place but here.
