Beach Front Waikiki

Excellent location, wonderful views over marina to the ocean. Very clean and well appointed. Close to shops and transport. Very central to all major attractions and restaurants. Overall a wonderful experience and great service. We would sincerely recommend Luke for transportation and tours on the North Shore.

We have been to Oahu several times but this was the first time we tried renting a vacation home. I was apprehensive at first to rent from someone that was not from an organized hotel chain but after seeing this unit upon arrival and meeting Rodney, the owner, all apprehension dissappeared. This unit is beautiful and very comfortable. It has two air conditioning units that can keep the place cold if you so choose. The views from the 17th floor overlook a marina and ocean and is just something to marvel at each time you look outside. This unit is located close to so many things that you can walk to without any problems if you are in normal health. Half a block away there is a Red Lobster and Outback restaurants and also a McDonalds just across the street. Close by there is an IHOP and other restaurants. If you need supplies like water or milk or juices or snacks or toiletries there is an ABC store just half a block away. There is a big mall that is within walking distance (half a mile) that besides having many stores also has a large food court on the ground floor plus other restaurants upstairs like Forest Gump. On the same floor of this unit and close by there is a laundry mat at your disposal which came in very handy for the five adults in our group. The free Internet service came in very handy for checking out reviews and locations of different businesses on Oahu. Also I recommend that you bring a GPS if you have one. I can't tell you how helpful it is here. I asked Rodney about extra housekeeping service to supply extra towels and he said that we could get some at an extra cost that I thought was kind of high so I mentioned that maybe I'll just go to Walmart an buy some inexpensive towels. Unexpectedly Rodney showed up with some extra towels for us to use. This just shows you that Rodney is concerned about making a renter's stay comfortable. I was also supprised at how fast Rodney returned our security deposit. My only MINOR complaint about this place was about who cleaned this place before our arrival. I own a housecleaning business and whoever cleaned this place should not be called a professional. Like I said this was MINOR for us. Rodney I know that you will take this as a constructive suggestion so please hire someone else to do the cleaning. Otherwise I highly recommend this for anyone's vacation rental. You will really enjoy this comfortable unit and location. I hope it is available the next time we can vacation in this area.

"This is the first time I ever post a negative review. The unit location and overall cost is very attractive. Our stay was great UNTIL we checked out.(early time 10 am) We did not read the details of the contract which is our mistake and as a result we did not strip the beds and we left dishes in the process of being washed not putting them back. We also left some unnoticed stain on the comforter. Otherwise we really did not leave any major stains or damage. Not only did I get a conversation with the owner which made me cry (yes in the middle of my vacation!) I also was told we were the WORST customers EVER (this is after the people who rented before us destroyed the door to the bedroom) We still agreed to compensate the owner from our deposit. We returned from our vacation to learn that since we have not signed the papers accepting the loss of part of the deposit yet, now, due to our "attitude" (what attitude?), we we loose the whole deposit, because it is what contract allows him do do.
The owner is not willing to work with us which is really sad since we really tried to work things out with multiple calls. Trust me -it is NOT easy to leave review like this but if you want to rent this condo DO factor in that you will probably loose the deposit.
I wish that the owner was just more reasonable. We never wanted a war and can have multiple other people we rented from tell that we are very conscientious guests. Very sorry for a very unpleasant experience. The condo does need beach towels. The bathroom WC is tricky to use- it leaks unless you correctly put the knob up. Needles to say we would NOT stay there again".
