Waikiki Vacation Rental condo

Rodney provided all the information about the property and its distances to various places. Positioned right beside the Grand Waikikian, renters can walk to the lagoon and view the fireworks on scheduled dates. If you walk an extra minute, you will see the Hilton Waikiki.

The property has an excellent view of the marina and the beach. You can catch surfers at around 6 a.m. We have sunrise and sunset photos that make the experience memorable.

The property has towels, dinnerware, and cookware. We cooked our breakfast everyday and had dinner most of the time except for 3 nights. You can shop at Safeway or Foodland located about 15 minutes from the property. They also have a Costco about 25 minutes away, with traffic

You can dispose of your trash everyday using the trash door close to the elevators. Hawaii takes recycling seriously.

My family and I purchased the 5-day Go Oahu card which allows you to go to certain attractions and activities such as Germaine's Luau, Makani boat ride, Hanauma Bay snorkling, and otheres. Outside the Go Oahu card, we also purchased the following must dos:

1. Parasailing
2. Jet-skiing
3. ATV (all terrain vehicle)

Most of the attractions provide transportation from Waikiki so you will need to book your reservations in advance. Otherwise, you risk not getting spots on certain times and dates.

The Ilikai is very conveniently located, being essentially on Waikiki beach and a short walk to Ala Moana or Waikiki shopping areas. The view of the Marina from the balcony is lovely, with ships and surfers taking to the water. The unit had plenty of extra amenities not listed on the description (beach towels and mats, extra sheets, even a boogie board!) that made the extra bit of difference (and saved me from buying all of that stuff, too!). Perfect size for mom, dad, and three or four kids.

Our family-grandparents, parents, teenagers rented this condo for 10 days in March of 2009. The location was great and we all had a wonderful time. It was an easy walk to Ala Moana Center and the park and to all the activities in Waikiki. Buses and trolleys stop right in front of the hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rodney answered all our questions and provided services we needed promptly. We have rented many condos thru Home/Away and other sites and this was one of the best. It was spacious and well furnished and very well maintained. It was one of the best vacations our family has had together because it provided something for everyone.
