This elegant, comfortable and quiet, fully furnished 2 bedroom apartment is located in one of the most romantic areas of Paris, on Avenue de Suffren, directly across the street from the Champs de Mars at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. This is a most desirable residential neighborhood at the boundary of the 7th and 15th arrondissement, with large sidewalks that keep traffic away, and numerous convenient and elegant stores that include the famous antique shops of 'Village Suisse' on Avenue de Suffren about mid-way between the apartment and the Metro station.

The apartment, on the 4th (American 5th) floor of a modern building with two elevators, is composed of a nice entry hall; one living-room/dining-room (with 32' flat-panel LCD TV); two bedrooms that sleep four - one with a queen-size bed: the other with two twin beds; one full bathroom (shower over bathtub) and one half-bath with toilet only; recently remodeled all-equipped-kitchen (includes dishwasher, microwave, clothes washer/dryer; garbage chute) with an eating area/breakfast nook. Free Wi-Fi Internet, laser printer and long distance calling (bring your own computer). Facing south, the apartment is cheerful, sunny, full of light. A great asset to the apartment is the building concierge, who, after having prepared the apartment for visitor's arrival will welcome and help them at any time (in French!) as well as arrange for additional cleaning services if requested.

Dining and Shopping: Bakeries with croissants, baguettes and pastries (just across the street from the apartment) and numerous good restaurants are located along Avenue de Suffren, Avenue de Grenelle and Avenue de LaMotte-Piquet. A mini grocery store located in the building provides the utmost convenience and a larger market is just blocks away. An open-air market stands two times a week on the Boulevard de Grenelle between the two local Metro stations 'La Motte-Piquet-Grenelle' and 'Dupleix', close to 'Poilane' the famous Parisian bakery.

Transportation: The famous Paris Metro is fast, easy and used by all during day time. There are plenty of bus lines with nearby stops either in front of the apartment building, in the Champs de Mars (with terminus) or Avenue de La Motte-Piquet and Rue de l’Ecole Militaire. By the Seine at the foot of the Hilton, the RER train rides directly to Versailles and its Chateau for a one day picnic visit. Hertz office rents cars just across the street for further excursions.

great location, excellent service

The apartment is large for Paris, 900 square feet, and in a good neighborhood. It was clean, warm, and comfortable. Paris busses stop right outside the door. It is a two block walk down Avenue Presles to the subway. Lots of great places to eat in the neighborhood and walking distance from the Eiffel Tower--no matter where we went we used it to find our way back home to the apartment. The concierge, Madam Barbot treated us well, although no English spoken--but if you really need something she can call the owners who do speak French and can translate. There is a free internet long distance phone in the apartment, so you can be in contanct with the U.S. easily and at anytime. Everything you need is there--coffee pot, toaster, hair drier, iron--even a little pull shopping bag if you need it in your travels to the store. There is a little store with reasonable prices right next-door and an ATM also. A little bakery up the street. I would recommend anyone staying here--especially for long stays as the rates are very reasonable. We were there for three weeks in November, 2007. There is a large elevator for Paris. So don't need to use the stairs. Big windows that open for breezes. Comfortable chairs in living space and lots of storage spaces--no dishwasher, sorry ladies and gents just gotta do it by hand! Which is easy. We are all just so spoiled! --kitchen is large (for Paris) and easy to work in.

Great Stay!

3 of us stayed in the apartment for almost 2 weeks and it was a nice haven to return to after busy days of sight-seeing. There were more little things already in the apartment than we thought: an iron and ironing board and lots of hangers are two that come to mind. It was so nice having our breakfasts at "home" - with an awesome bakery across the street - and even a few dinners in the apartment. It saved money, but was also relaxing. The kitchen had wonderful, new appliances and having laundry in the apartment was especially nice for a long stay.

I would recommend the apartment because of it's wonderful location and lovely neighborhood atmosphere. It was also clean and I didn't know that it had an extra little room with a toilet - nice to have!

Thanks for all the hospitality... hope I can go back someday soon!

Outstanding stay, value and location

We spent 8 days in mid October 2009 at this property with our two children and couldn't have wished for a better location and experience. The apartment is a very comfortable size, just as described, well kept and with all the amenities you would wish and expect. Located just a few minutes from the Eiffel tower and Champ de Mars in a lovely and upscale neighborhood, you also have a bakery, two grocery stores, 4 cafes and restaurants (not crowded by tourists) within 2 blocks. Walk 4-5 blocks and you get to the metro station La Motte-Piquet which connects you with all the major places to visit in Paris. Across the station there are numerous restaurants and eateries as well as a Monoprix (a major chain grocery store) where you can stock up on whatever you need for the week. Having the TV, phone and internet access was a major bonus and allowed us to relax and stay in touch with our friends and family if needed. The windows face Rue de la Federation which is a very quiet and sunny street with great views of the neighborhood and locals activities. We took our children to the play structure 5 minutes from the apartment on the Champ de Mars overlooking the Eiffel tower a couple of times and also we saw the laser display at the tower at night. We look forward to our next stay on the 7th. I have already recommended this property to a couple of co-workers.
