Enjoy the gorgeous views of the Blue Ridge Mountains! The cottage is surrounded by large trees and located on several acres of property in a secluded mountain location. Watch the deer, black bear, and other wildlife that frequently visit the cottage's grounds. The cabin is easily accessible by car via a paved road, and has parking in front. Four wheel drive is not necessary to reach the cabin.

No smoking allowed inside. Dogs are permitted. The cottage is in excellent condition. It is fully modern with a full-service kitchen, washer/dryer units, satellite television, fireplace stove for heating, air conditioning units for cooling, etc.

Cell phone service is excellent at the cottage and in the area. There is free Wi-Fi internet access at the local Daily Grind coffee houses in nearby Front Royal. Also Samuels Public Library in nearby Front Royal offers free Internet access.

The cabin is located about 63 miles driving distance west of downtown Washington DC.

There are many points of interest within 10 minutes of the cabin such as the Linden Vineyards, Naked Mountain Vineyards, and Rappanhannock Cellars are a few of the local wineries that offer tours, wine tasting and lunch in a picturesque countryside environment. Other attractions within 10 minutes are historic downtown Front Royal, Blue Ridge Mountain Arts Gallery, Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns, and Skymeadows State Park. Also the Front Royal Canoe Company offers scenic tours of local waterways like the Shenandoah River.

Great family retreat for Thanksgiving

Our family had a lovely stay. We visited with friends. We cooked a Thanksgiving meal. While we were there we gave your information to a friend who has a brother who likes to come to the area and would much prefer staying at your cabin than at the local motel. We already look forward to renting the cabin again.

the cabin with a view

we enjoyed our stay at this little cabin in the hills. It has a fantstic view to wake up to each morning. The little sleeping loft was adorable. The place was well stocked with everyday needs and ideally located for convenience on and off the freeway and local things to do and see. we hope to return next year, but hope the stink bugs arent quite as active tho.

a great getaway

We had such a nice time at the cabin that we decided to return for another visit. The views are absolutely beautiful and we were happy with the accommodations and amenities.
