Cozy and Comfortable

This one bedroom (2 double beds) one bathroom (with double vanity) is adorable! Located about half a mile to the 14th Ave Pier and about one mile to 9th Ave, it was pretty convenient for those looking to walk. The condo has above standard furnishings (comfortable with texture and color rather than the usual dreary and drab) and has been upgraded to tile rather than carpet, making for a much cleaner, fresher setting. Although on the smaller side, the layout and oceanfront location gives it a spacious feel.
We had a slight hic-cup with bulbs needing to be replaced and the sliding door being difficult to open and close because it is severely damaged, but the owner's cleaning manager and maintanance person were quick and courteous. Bill, the maintenance person said he could not fix the door, that it was in need of replacement (which he explained was in the process of happening and had already begun in other units).
This is an older complex...a little rough around the edges, but Rufia's unit is much better than average. The balcony is in not private (units to the left and right are quite close), but the view is spectacular as it is a direct oceanfront balcony on the 11th floor. There are a few things that need to be addressed but since I feel they have more to do with ineffective and complacent housekeeping, I will make the owner aware privately. As the owner lives out of state I am sure she relies heavily on her local staff to maintain her unit to her standards and feel she will rectify these issues once she is made aware. Therefore, I do not feel they should be a reflection on the owner or the unit
The owner Rufia, although not on-site, was very easy to work with. She was generous in her consideration of a last minute rental, professional and courteous and quick to respond to our concerns - even offering a refund if we needed to leave due to the door issue. We stayed because the unit was lovely! When the door gets replaced I wouldn't hesitate to rent this unit again and again.
