About Cindy Newman or Pam Singer

We are the owners of Villa Oceana and this picture is on our beach at a sunset wedding.

We live in central PA and we found our house when we were vacationing for the first time on the island with our families and fell in love with Sapodilla Bay!

Cindy Newman or Pam Singer purchased this villa in 2005

Why Cindy Newman or Pam Singer chose Providenciales - Provo

We have traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and every time we go somewhere else we always think that there's nothing better than Villa Oceana and Sapodilla Bay! We have made this home comfortable for ourselves as well as for our guests. And have really thought of what we and our guests need in a house to make this a perfect vacation getaway! From the second you walk through our front door and kick off your shoes you will be relaxed and excited to get out on the beach. You will enjoy calm warm ocean water, absolutely breath taking sunsets, not to mention a huge pool for cooling off in! There is much to do on the island, but so many of our guests don't even want to leave the serenity of our house and beach!!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Our repeat guests, the Forgerons, emailed to say that though they have stayed at many different villas on many different islands in the Caribbean, our Villa Oceana is their favorite! They are looking forward to coming back this May!

Thanks Joan!!

Can't wait to go back...

  • 5 of 5

The photos were nice, but truly did not do this place justice! The home was bigger than we had pictured and the layout was great. It was great for our kids as well. They could swim in the ocean, run back up to the house and jump in the pool and back to the ocean.

So relaxing and most of the time we felt we had a private beach. If there were 2 other groups on the beach, that was a lot!

The sand was so soft and the ocean was absolutely beautiful and crystal clear. No coral or rocks or sea urchins!

We were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurants on the island were excellent (though expensive, as most islands are). Shark Bite was incredible bar food and the kids loved it because we actually saw sharks swimming by. Our favorite restaurant was Coyaba. High end, but great food and a great wine list.

But we actually had our best meals at the house when we just threw some steaks on the grill and lounged in our swimsuits while they were cooking!

Three weeks in Paradise

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I settled into Villa Oceana like it was our own home. It was extremely comfortable and well outfitted with everything we needed. Although we drove around most of the island we were sure very early on that this location was the best the island had to offer. Sapodilla Bay is beautiful with fine, white sand and turquoise water that is shallow and calm. Several beach loungers that could be pulled up to the water's edge, beautiful teak furniture around a lovely pool, kayaks and paddleboards, all made for amazing beach mornings and poolside afternoons when we felt like we'd had enough sea salt and sun. The newly updated kitchen and appliances were a definite plus. We appreciated having some pantry items and cleaning supplies and the laundry facilities (two washers and two dryers), plenty of beach towels, bath towels and kitchen towels. We have stayed at numerous rental homes and found this one to be extremely well stocked compared to most. The maid service once a week was also appreciated. Who wants to go on holidays to do housework? Aside from this beautiful home we found the island to have good grocery stores , a great liquor store and many great beachside bars and restaurants. And the sunsets...a nightly ritual was to go sit on the beach with a tropical cocktail and watch the sun go down. Sapodilla Bay is the best place to be on Provo at sunset. Although my husband and I went on our own this year, we will definitely be back with our grown children. It's too good not to share!

The owner was excellent to work with in planning our trip and on-site management was equally as good when we needed anything. Thank you both

Fantastic family retreat

  • 5 of 5

From the moment that Dinesh welcomed us at the airport, we started to relax. We had grandparents, two young couples and two toddlers and Villa Oceana was the perfect setting for our group. The individual room by the pool afforded privacy ( and late mornings) for the couple without kids and the and layout of the house is excellent for family gatherings. We have several cooks so we only ate out twice; once at at Las Brisas (around the corner) and once atDa Conch House - both kid-friendly and wonderful. But the kitchen at Villa Oceana was the best-equipped of any rental property that we have ever been in and was a joy to work in. Both kitchen and baths are updated and beautiful. You can eat outside by the gorgeous pool or inside as the table.

The pool and the beach are perfect for both adults and small children. We had both lounger/readers and activity-driven family members. The chaises and hammock provided or sun shade options, while the kayak and the paddle boards promoted exercise and exploration of the bay. Some of our group went to Smith's Beach for snorkeling and had a great experience there, as well. The water is calm, crystal clear and shallow for a long way out, so our toddlers became were water babies by the end of the week. We saw sea turtles and fish and the sunsets were magnificent. We will definitely be back.

The house is airy and comfortable and has every convenience. The staff could not have been more helpful. The location is perfect.

Our entire experience at Villa Oceana was awesome. Starting with the interactions with the management team to our stay was unbelievable . We have been to many beach locations before this visit, but this vacation was perfect. Every aspect of this trip was perfect. The house was amazing, the location was perfect, the whole experience was more than we expected. I have always wanted to go to a different place each vacation but I feel like that will change. Can't think of any other place that was so perfect. I think we will be planning our 2015 beach trip to Villa Oceana.

This is the perfect place to stay if you wan the best family vacation. We certainly did! Suitable for family with children, my kids definitely enjoyed our vacation, with the pool and the beach made available to us at all times. The house was clean and spacious and got everything that we needed. Truly made our vacation hassle free and memorable. Will recommend this house to my family and friends!

Already planning return trip (no, seriously!)

  • 5 of 5

We spent countless hours researching the perfect spot for 6 adults & 2 very young children (3 &1) and eventually agreed on Villa Oceana. It was the absolute best decision! Sapodilla Bay is so, so underrated. First and foremost, it's stunning. The beach and shallow water are just gorgeous (coming from someone who has visited 20+ Caribbean islands). It's on the south side of the island and protected from the harsher winds that seemed to pound Grace Bay each time we took the rental car north. It's just the perfect setting for beach lovers who can appreciate true beauty. We are a fairly active family so the kayaks and paddleboards were a massive plus. It almost made the trip. I'd put my 3 year old son on the front of the paddleboard and we'd go exploring for sea creatures, including frequent contact with a huge sea turtle that used a 50 yard radius of the bay as its primary residence. With the view, I can't blame him/her! My son couldn't wait to go paddleboarding each day.... and I think others staying on Sapodilla Bay were jealous we had the luxury of using all of these 'toys'.

The indoor/outdoor speakers were another convenient plus. Great tunes on Pandora and we weren't stuck with the 'local' stations (no offense :-)).

The house met our needs. Nothing flashy or excessive, but functional with everything you would need as if you were living at home. Satellite TV and we watched NFL playoff games via Miami's local networks.

Despite the warm weather, the pool was a tad cool while we were there (mid 70's). The kids unfortunately couldn't take advantage of it as much as we would have hoped, but it hardly mattered considering how close we were to the beach and the overall shallowness of the bay more or less made it a non-issue.

One other cool plus: local fishermen would troll through the area in late afternoon displaying their catch of the day (lobsters, conch, many varieties of fish). This worked out well as we were able to negotiate a seafood feast for a fraction of what you would have paid at IGA (lobsters @ around $14/pound).

We did rent a car which came in handy big time. Everything is accessible. 10-15 min from airport, 10 min from food/liquor, 15 min from Grace Bay and fine dining.

All in all, just a fantastic week. Based on what we researched, I'd consider this a tremendous value for a group our size. It's why we plan to return to this very house in early 2016!

Great beachfront villa for families and couples! The sunsets on this beach are the best on the island. Come check out the powder soft sand and the calm, crystal clear warm water of the Caribbean Ocean!

So much to check out and see or do nothing but relax at the comfort of your own beachfront villa!

There's a wonderful restaurant/bar that is walking distance from the villa, but there's also a grill on our patio for cooking fresh fish or just throwing on burgers and hanging out!

We are only a 15 min. drive into Grace Bay where all the resorts are and many wonderful restaurants...but most people don't ever want to leave the villa!

Other Activities: kayaking and stand up paddle boards for your use at our villa!

Golf: There is a golf course on the island that is very popular and only a 15-20 minute drive from the villa!
