Mary beth and I live in Boulder, Colorado, another great place we love to spend much of the year. We first bought property in Kapalua, Maui in 1999 and have come to appreciate Maui as our second home. In 2006, we sold a business we had built together, which is what allowed us to by this condo on the beach.

We spend several months each year at this condo and we love it year round. The weather in Kapalua is a bit cooler than the other resort areas on Maui, which makes it comfortable without air conditioning 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It's also spacious so that when our friends or family are visiting, there's plenty of room. When it's just us, it often feels like we're the only people in Kapalua as the condos around us are so often empty. But, what makes it extraordinary are two things. First, we love to walk and, from our doorstep, there are endless miles of beautiful walks - not just through the beautiful Kapalua resort and nearby beaches, but also through some of the Maui wilderness at the resort's edge. Biking, too. Second, the ocean views from the condo's lanai (deck) are stunning. The islands of Lanai and Molakai frame the view of Kapalua Bay and the sunset falls between them every evening. During whale season, you can see whales spouting, breaching, and, on two occasions, even giving birth to calves. We can sit on the lanai for hours reading, talking, listening to music, and appreciating the tranquility of Maui. Or, we can play catch or football on the lawn. During our time there, Mary Beth and i often sit on the lanai and ask ourselves how we got so lucky to have a place like this to call home...
To sum it up, the climate is perfect - we never use the air conditioning. The sun sets between the islands of Lanai and Molokai and you will have an ideal view of it from our lanai (deck). Within walking distance are three of Maui's best restaurants and several others that offer outstanding meals in a wide price range. The ocean in Kapalua Bay is wonderful, and there are three other beaches in walking distance that offer a variety of sun bathing, snorkeling, and surfing. Walking, jogging, bicycling, and a variety of other exercise opportunities abound. And, if you like to golf, some of the finest golf courses in America are at your doorstep. If you want to just sit outside and look at the ocean, this place is great, but if you want an active adventure vacation, it's all there, too!

A 180-day minimum rental is required and that period may begin on any date of your choosing. Guests need not be present at the condo during the entire period, but the period of rental must be 180 days.
Payment of half of the total amount for the rental period plus a $6,000 security deposit is required to complete the reservation. Full payment is due 90 days before the beginning of the rental period.
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (USD) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
