This is a great house in a great location. The beach is only one house away and there is a brand new Publix accross the street, which is great because for a house that sleeps this many we were given 1 roll of paper towels and 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom for a Thursday-Sunday vacation. The views off of the patios are also very nice. It is close to downtown as well.

The house is very spacious and there are many beds, but there are technically only two beds for couples, 3 if you include the pull-out sleeper in the living room. There are 3 bedrooms with two twin beds, one of which has trundle beds. Also, this is a true vacation home, not a family owned home which is also rented out. Be sure to bring EVERYTHING you need down to the sugar for your coffee, and everything for the beach you may need.

The house needs desperately to be painted inside. The walls are very scuffed up throughout. There were also ants in the kitchen and in the living room when we arrived. All of the homes have lots of broken furniture and other odds and ends underneath them which are visable when you walk to the beach. We even stumbled upon what appeared to be a pet gravesite complete with tombstone. The jet tub in the master leaks through one of the kicthen lights when filled too high.

Overall, it was a great place for the price paid. But this house could use some elbow grease.
Owner's Response: Please note ;That this guest NEVER contacted the staff regarding any issues during there stay. The property provides all linens, soap detergent but as the majority of properties in the market area it provides a starter package of paper goods
The beds are clearly explained on the web site . The guest never called with any ?'s
The property did not have any indication of ants prior to the guest arrival or has there been any indication after there departure , Again as indicated the arrival package the guest should have contacted MGT . It clearly was not a problem and remains no problem
There is no broken furniture in the home
The foundation area is for storage and off limits to guests . We have no idea what they are talking about regarding a PET GRAVE
The jetted tub does not leak . The only time a water problem occurs is when the guests overflows the tub . A responsible person should have called MGT regarding a water problem

The guest is correct the home offers a GREAT Value . WE have had 4 parties enjoy this home since there departure with no calls regarding any of these issues . Thank you for your attention , MGT

Spacious House

This house was large and spacious with plenty of room for 12 people. It's a very short walk to the beach which was absolutely beautiful. The view from the second floor balconies was extremely pleasant. On the surface, the house seemed perfect but we soon realized that it is not being maintained very well.

The bolt locks on both entry doors are broken, the lazy susan cabinet in the kitchen is broken, the glass shower doors in 2 bathrooms were off the track and the blinds on the window in one of the bedrooms was completely destroyed. The stools in the kitchen and some of the kitchen table chairs were also broken. The house advertises that it sleeps 14 people but there are not enough dishes and silverware for that many people. There is also not enough outdoor furniture for that many people. There is a beautiful sitting room in the house but an electrical problem in that part of the house prevented us from using the room at night because there was no lighting. The TV in the main living room stopped working but we weren't there to watch TV so that was no big deal but might be to others. The outdoor showers by the house and the pool were not working either. The dryer stopped working while we were there but after referring these issues to the property manager, the dryer was fixed the same day we called. Melanie and her associate (I think her name was Ashley) were very good at calling us back but the issues could not be resolved in the week that we were there.

This is a very nice house and with it's location so close to the beach and only 5 minutes from Old Town St. Augustine, it would be a perfect vacation home with just a little bit of maintenance.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: We have had guests from late May to mid august with few complaints . These type of items could have in most cases been settled with a phone call most have been taken care of we are capable of responding within 48hrs to these type of items . we have had a full month plus of guests who are having a good time. Be sure to review the majority of good to excellant reviews

Fantastic St. Augustine property

I've rented this property twice - the most recent stay in December 2010 - and we had an excellent experience both times. This is a well maintained, spacious, comfortable house in a beautiful quiet location. The house and pool were very clean, and the property manager provided great customer service. The ocean views are spectacular and great to enjoy while relaxing on the deck! Beach access is very close, there is a walkway from the house and we felt like we had our own private beach. The location is only 5 min. from downtown St. Augustine. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing beach vacation, and will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Place to Stay

St. Augustine is a great place to visit and this house had a wonderful, uncrowded beach 200 ft from the house. The house was very nicely decorated with plenty of room. Large main living room, and a smaller sitting room in the back of the house that was more quiet. Bedrooms were spacious. Very clean when we arrived and had all the linens, towels and other bath items available. Very nice Ocean views. St. Augustine is one of our favorite places in Florida and has great restaurants, numerous art galleries, and many other attractions. House was only a 5-10 minute drive from the downtown area. Wonderful place to visit and a great house to stay in for easy access to the beach, and short drives to other activities. Highly recommended.

DO NOT RENt!!!!

This house is not as it is represented on website. Every bed and the bedding on it were so old and dirty. The house was filthy when we checked in and I did notify Melanie who checked us in that the home was not clean. She instructed us to break into the owners closet to get cleaning supplies and a vacum rather than sending the cleaning crew to clean it. My husband had to buy bleach to clean all the scum out of the showers it was so thick it was like standing on jelly. This was the filthiest rental I have ever stayed in. The kitchen had duct taped microwave, minimal dishes and about six forks for a house that sleeps 14. No can opener it was as if everything in this house was just ignored and they just take your money and know you are stuck after arriving with a party of 14 you don't have many options to move somewhere else. The house was beaten up so bad they clearly don't do any maintenance and we had to do repairs ourselves just so we could use somethings in the home like lock the front door. Actually had to replace the front door knob. They sewage was backing up outside the day after we got there and they came and pumped. Six weeks after trying to get my deposit back finally heard back with a picture of wipes and said we are being charged for septic problem! WHATTTTT we were never told anything and never were any wipes flushed. This was outrageous I could never get anyone to respond and six weeks later I am being told I am responsible for something that was clearly as issue before we arrived. The owner will not respond to me or call me back. Totally stole my money!!! Even if this didn't happen the house was gross and poor poor condition and we slept on an air matress the beds were terrible. Furniture broken and everything was so damgaged it was as if the home was a spring break rental.
Owner's Response: - All repairs and cleaning issues/complaints were conducted and completed within 48hrs At the convenience of the tenants schedule, therefore, instructed entry to owners closet to retrieve additional items Wanted Immediately.
- Furniture moved throughout the home and not placed back in it's original state, as instructed at check in And on 2nd day of completion of issues. Also, indoor table and chairs on 2nd floor were moved outdoor for patio use discovered upon check out.
(If bedding was an issue, why not put twin beds together as was allowed for couples and past tenants, place air mattress on top for comfort, instead of remove furniture from an entire room?).

- Sanitation: clear instruction verbally and in writing in Welcome Packet upon check in. Specifically "Only Toilet Paper" stickers were placed on all toilets and explanation to tenant on schedule of pumping 1-2 days Prior upon check in. Also included more instruction on 3rd day call when pump overflowed. End result was the "flushable wipes" were found in unit restroom next to toilet upon check out.
- Front door handle was Not loose or damaged upon entering/exiting home At check in for notable maintenance, whereas informed by tenant on 3rd day.
- Upon 3 or more days of visiting home for maintenance, more than 14 guests were in and on the property than allowed per the lease. Witnessed by Melanie and her assistant Ashleigh was noted. Also, Check Out Procedures were Not followed, when presented written form in Welcome Packet as well as listed in view located on refrigerator.

Due to the complaints completed within 48hrs, there were -0- monies deducted from the deposit for all items listed above Except the sanitation issues for oceanfront properties that were clearly and fully explained to lessee, as well as other members of their party, in detail, on 3 occasions during their stay, deductions were warranted.The Guests comments are motivated by the loss of $235 the cost of cleaning up the hazard they created . We do not withhold a portion of a guests deposit lightly .However they were clearly the only contributing cause to the problem I would asked potential clients to view all reviews and take in consideration the factors outline herein and call if you have any concerns Thank you
